Description

The Dead Stag is based on one of the most classic discrete fuzz/distortion circuits in pedal history. This design has been built into countless versions by many pedal builders along the last forty odd years, however we wanted to take the evolution further than ever before and give you a Big Muff style pedal, but one with many more tonal options and smart features to make as versatile a fuzz/distortion pedal as possible. Beneath the active Bass/Treble EQ with a 15db cut/boost, KMA designed a parametric mid EQ with a 12db cut/boost between 400Hz and 2.4kHz. Apart from the internal Q Bandwidth control, every EQ control is on top of the pedal which gives you a ton of tonal options. From a thick low-end rumble or spitty mid-range, to scooped mids or a low mid hump, everything is possible.
