The Data Corrupter is a “wild, yet repeatable” three-voice Modulated Monophonic Harmonizing PLL (phase-locked loop)  that takes your input signal and “brutally amplifies it into a crushing square wave fuzz tone that is then multiplied, divided, and modulated” to create a harmonically complex, expressive, and touch-responsive analog synth tone up to three octaves below (or above) the original, plus additional harmonies. To unleash the cracked machine lurking within the Data Corrupter mainframe, set the Subharmonic Root switch to Oscillator and try not to look away as the sonic malware you just installed mangles your input signal into the sum and difference of both the Master Oscillator and Subharmonic with the Frequency Modulator applied to the upper and lower octaves.

The Banshee by Tallon Electric is a digital octave fuzz pedal built for extreme guitar sounds. It delivers chopped, trashed, and corrupted square-wave fuzz tones, along with haunting polyphonic octaves and aggressive signal-chopping effects, aimed at heavy and extreme music styles. The pedal includes controls for Speed (chop rate), Square Wave level, Octave, and Dissonance, and features a three-mode octave foot-switch plus an Octave Up switch for versatile octave/fuzz manipulation. It uses a 9 V DC, center-negative power supply and draws 200 mA, and does not accept batteries. The Banshee is engineered with DSP processing under license from Demedash Effects. Reflector V3 is a dense lush chorus coupled with three modes of modulation. This was a chorus with a bent, an ephemeral voice floating between aural dimensions.
Controls included Rate and Depth for the chorus LFO, Mix for a balance between unaffected and affected signal, and Modulate for unique control in each mode: pitch shift, reverb blend, and filter depth. A three-way toggle switch allows the player to choose between three modes: Wrinkle, a deep chorus with an additional pitch shift from one octave down to one octave up; Washed, a simple lush chorus feeding into a reverb; and Mirrors, a chorus and moving filter linked via the chorus rate.

The Double Dragon is a monophonic octave effect that replicates the sound characteristics of legendary vintage octave devices such as the MXR Blue Box, DOD Octoplus and Boss OC-2, but with its own lo-fi charm. The Double Dragon's sound is completely analogue, offering a deep, fat sub-octave that serves as a foundation, as well as a higher octave that falls somewhere between an Octavia and a Superfuzz. The Dry control mixes your clean signal with the octave effects – from a clear to a completely “wet”, glitchy vintage synth sound. The OCT− knob controls the mix of the low sub-octave, while the OCT+ knob controls the upper octave and distortion, which is activated via the right footswitch. The left footswitch turns the unit on and off, while the right footswitch activates the OCT+ effect.

The Double Dragon is particularly well suited for use in combination with overdrive pedals such as the Tube Screamer to boost the midrange, or with fuzz to create maximum chaos. For a synth-like texture, we recommend combining it with pitch vibrato. The tracking characteristics of the Double Dragon come into their own even more vividly and interestingly with such combinations.
