Built around a reinvented circuit, the Electric Sheep uses no tone-depleting op-amps, but rather high-quality transistors and hand-measured passive components mounted on a wide board to avoid the parasitic effects of capacitors and keep the guitar sound as pure as possible.
The 70/80 setting mixes the natural overdrive sound of a tube amp (70) with that of a classic overdrive pedal (80), not a gain setting but an adjustment of the grain depending on how the transistors react. The HB/SC setting adjusts the input impedance for guitars equipped with humbucker pickups (HB) or single-coil pickups (SC), so that the pedal adapts to your guitar and not the other way round.
