Die japanische Firma Zoom ist ja allseits bekannt durch ihre zumeist sehr günstig angebotenen Effektprozessoren. Begonnen hatte alles vor gut 20 Jahren, als die damals noch junge Company mit ihren miniaturisierten Geräten, wie etwa dem Modell 9002, die Fachwelt in Staunen versetzte. Eine komplette Gitarrenvorstufe mit allen erdenklichen Effekten in der Größe einer Jumbo Zigarettenschachtel – so etwas hatte es bis dato noch nicht gegeben. Doch im Kapitalismus schläft ja die Konkurrenz bekanntlich nie und so standen die Geräte von Zoom stets mehr oder weniger im Schatten der marktbeherrschenden Firmen, allen voran natürlich BOSS oder DigiTech. Zumindest im Pro-Sektor, denn unter den „einfachen Bodentretminen“ für günstiges Geld findet man zumeist etwas Passendes im Angebot bei Zoom. Eine Art „einfache Bodentretmine“ ist auch unser heutiges Testmodell, das Zoom Multistomp MS-50G. Obwohl das vielleicht nicht ganz der Wahrheit entspricht, denn in dem unscheinbaren Gehäuse in Form und Aussehen eines einfachen Single-Effektpedals versteckt sich durchaus mehr. Zumindest mehr, als es der Preis von unter 100,- Euro vermuten lässt. Das brandneue Zoom Multistomp MS-50G nun also im Test auf Amazona.de.

Die chinesische Pedalfirma Joyo hat das R-09 Vision angekündigt, ein sehr preiswertes zweikanaliges Modulationspedal mit 18 Effekten an Bord. Unter 90 USD soll es im Handel kosten. Damit könnte es fortan das Pedal der Wahl für viele werden.

VISION is a dual channel modulation pedal, supporting stereo input and output. Both of the two effects have independent SPEED/RATE, CONTROL, and DEPTH/MIX knobs. In the middle of the panel, a 3-position toggle switch is used for choosing the sequence of the two effects’ output. Besides, each channel features 9 effects, you can adjust various tones with the independent Tap Tempo control.

OD-200 Hybrid Drive

The OCD was the first pedal to use Mosfets as clipping devices. Another first was their configuration as "hard clippers connected to v-ref" instead of to ground, as was the norm. These things contribute greatly as to why the OCD has such touch-sensitivity...why they react so well when the strings are hit hard or soft, and why they sound & feel different than all other pedals out there, 90% of which are just slight tweaks of the Tube Screamer.

A buffer is an important tool to combat tone loss with long cable runs or in signal chains running lots of true bypass pedals. While it is commonplace to add a buffer at the beginning of the signal chain, we find this to best at the end for optimum results. That said, it’ll work great anywhere you decide to place it. So entsteht ein völlig neuer und einzigartiger EHX-Fuzz-Sound, den wir noch nie zuvor gehört haben. Originally designed by Josh Scott of JHS Pedals and graphic designer, Daniel Danger as a homage to Electro-Harmonix in what Josh and Daniel consider the company’s design heyday of the 1970s, the EHX Lizard Queen Octave Fuzz is a nano-sized version of the pedal brought to life by the engineers at Electro-Harmonix that has all of the tones and vibes of the original circuit design by Josh. The tone is inspired by EHX’s fuzz pedigree with a unique analog octave up circuit that has all the vibe of the original design first featured on the JHS Show in 2022. This creates a completely new and unique EHX fuzz sound we’ve never heard before. To further tell the tale, the pedal is adorned with vintage EHX-inspired graphics designed by Daniel.

Housed in EHX’s Nano-sized chassis, the EHX Lizard Queen is a fixed gain fuzz pedal which features Volume, Octave, and Balance knobs. Volume controls the overall output volume level. The Octave control adjusts the level of the octave-up signal from zero to full octave chaos. Perfect for dialing in a crushing rhythm sound or a chimey, clanging lead sound. The Balance knob sets the tone balance between the smoother Shadow setting and the raspy, biting Sun setting. The effect of the Balance control is especially apparent with the octave set high.

The RockBoard MOD 4 - All-in-One Wireless System Receiver + Patchbay for Pedalboards offers an easy-to-use wireless connection between your instrument and your pedalboard, featuring digital wireless technology that delivers incredible audio quality, a simple setup procedure, and reliable use for any gigging musician. The wireless system works in the 2.4 GHz ISM band for unlimited worldwide use and offers a full 20 Hz - 20 kHz frequency range with only 5 ms of latency. The patchbay module is designed to route connections from underneath your pedalboard to its front, giving you a central access point and tidying up your connections. The A, B, C, and D TRS sockets are wiring thru-connections from the front of MOD 4 to the corresponding sockets on the back. This allows you to connect your pedals permanently underneath the board, so you only have to connect cables to and from the front of the board, instead of having to route underneath it when setting it up for a gig.

Mit 6 Effekt-Loops und 36 programmierbaren Presets (6 Bänke mit jeweils 6 Presets) bietet der Mooer Pedal Controller L6 MKII die volle Kontrolle über Effekt-Setups. Der programmierbarer 6-Kanal Loop Switcher bietet Musikern zwei unterschiedliche Wege, mit dem Controller zu arbeiten: Im Play Mode können bis zu 36 frei programmierbare Preset-Konfigurationen genutzt werden, um mehrere Loops mit einem Fußschalter zu aktivieren oder zu deaktivieren. Im Live Mode ist jedem Fußschalter genau ein Loop zugewiesen, so lassen sich die einzelnen Pedale schnell in den Signalweg schalten. Zusätzlich zu den zwei wählbaren Modi bietet der Pedal Controller L6 MKII ein integriertes Stimmgerät, einen Mute Switch, ein großes LED Display und einen schaltbaren Pre- oder Post-Signal Buffer um die Impedanz bei langen Kabelwegen oder großen Setups anzupassen. Ohne den schaltbaren Buffer arbeitet der Pedal Controller L6 MKII mit True Bypass.

Featuring support for 6 effects loops with 36 programmable presets (6 banks with 6 presets each), the Mooer Pedal Controller L6 MKII can enhance and control even the most robust pedal and multi-effects setups. The programmable 6-channel loop switcher allows users to choose between two ways to interact with the unit. By choosing Play Mode, the user can save and recall up to 36 preset configurations that allow for the simultaneous engagement / disengagement of multiple loops with the press of one footswitch. By choosing Live Mode, the Pedal Controller L6 MKII can function as a traditional pedal controller with each footswitch able to quickly toggle on/off the corresponding loop. In addition to two play modes, the Pedal Controller L6 MKII also has the choice of a pre- or post- signal buffer to choose from to reduce impedance caused by instrument cables or other electronic interference. Without the buffer engaged, the Pedal Controller L6 MKII will operate in true bypass. Other bonus features for the Pedal Controller L6 MKII include a built-in tuner, dedicated mute switch, and large LED display panels to read easily from a distance.
