Looking at the OD-9’s circuit, you’ll realize that this is not some redesign being cleverly marketed as a reissue – this is THE original OD-9 (TS-9) circuit, yet with the addition of true bypass switching.  Even the PC board is the same one that Maxon’s been using for the past 30+ years, complete with empty slots where parts for the FET switching circuit have been left out!

Like the original, the current production OD-9 features the NJM (JRC) 4558D Op Amp – an essential component for authentic “TS” tone.  The NJM is smoother sounding and less compressed than other Op Amps, offering superior sound quality with low noise.

This pedal’s versatility comes from its unique Drive control—which replicates an amp’s transition from clean to dirty by blending your clean signal at the start of the sweep—and a little something called a voltage doubler, which increases overall headroom and opens up the sound of the pedal. Together, these elements allow you to serve up everything from a sauced-up boost to full-on blow-tube distortion.

The Fat Sugar Drive is set for true bypass by default, but for the tonal purists who want buffered bypass instead, just remove the bottom plate and flick the internal Buffer switch, close it up, and get to playing. This special edition comes with a custom pink sparkle finish.

The British Pedal Company Compact Series NOS Rangemaster is a compact, modern replica of one of the world's most iconic effects - the Dallas Rangemaster treble booster. The NOS version combines authentic vintage parts (new old stock) with a modern effects pedal design. Originally produced in 1965, it has been used by many of the worlds most respected artists including Eric Clapton, Tony Iommi, Rory Gallagher, Brian May, Marc Bolan, Ritchie Blackmore and many more. The Dallas Rangemaster was initially designed to increase the signal strength of the guitar going into the amplifier, and to increase tones at the high-end of the spectrum. The need for a treble booster arose in the mid-1960s as British tube amplifiers tended to produce a slightly dark, muddy sound when overdriven, particularly when used with humbucking pickups. Although classed as a treble booster, the Rangemaster was also used as an overdrive pedal to give a more distorted but focused tone with many classic British amplifiers.

Over forty years after the original VOX Wah forever changed the sound of rock music, the V846 has been reborn as the V846-HW Hand-Wired Wah Wah Pedal. While its classic tone is undeniable, the V846-HW was not created to simply repeat the history of the past, but to write new chapters in the future. In 1970 Led Zeppelin hit the stage of London's historic concert hall, Royal Albert Hall. We love the RAH performance and were inspired by a friend to capture it in a pedal.
At this performance Jimmy Page expressed himself masterfully with a broad pallet of tones and GIANT dynamic range. Of course this has a lot to do with Page’s playing technique and Gibson Les Paul. His backline amps, custom Hiwatt heads into Marshall cabinets filled the entire hall with a cornucopia of colors at levels ranging from a mouse whisper to rave ups louder than a jumbo jet taking off only inches over your head.
