The improved RockBoard® MODs V2 are simple all-in-one patchbays for RockBoard pedalboards with a new, refreshed design, and compact housing. Utilizing the MOD slot on all new RockBoards® (except the DUO series), they provide various cable connections to fit a wide variety of needs as a convenient patchbay. With the RockBoard® MODs, you can permanently connect your pedals underneath your board and organize all connections to and from your effects setup in one convenient module. The RockBoard® MODs provide a central access point from your instrument to your amp, as well as your power supply via IEC, and a 2.1 x 5.5 barrel thru power connector. The RockBoard® MOD 3 V2 is a pass-thru box designed for use by vocalists and acoustic players. The 2x XLR outputs allow you to send a stereo signal from your MOD and the 1x XLR input can be used to connect your microphone. Today’s stompbox market already caters for more adventurous reverb tastes with devices such as Eventide’s H9 and Black Hole, Strymon’s Big Sky, the Source Audio Ventris and the more affordable (but mono‑only) Electro‑Harmonix Oceans 11 — and that’s just scratching the surface! Boss might not be the first name to spring to mind if you were seeking a really esoteric reverb, but the new Boss RV‑500 not only bears comparison with its aforementioned rivals in terms of sound quality and effect variety, but it also offers a number of useful functions that most of its rivals can’t.

Das Boss DD-500, ein High End Delay des japanischen Effektgeräte-Herstellers, kann mit 12 Delay-Programmen, 32 Bit/96 kHz Signalverarbeitung, bis zu 297 Speicherplätzen und einem Looper aufwarten und ist mit dieser Ausstattung naturgemäß in einer etwas höheren Preisklasse angesiedelt. Allein diese Eckdaten sind einigermaßen imposant, aber die Marke Boss und der Mutterkonzern Roland haben bereits in der Vergangenheit – zum Beispiel mit dem DD-20, dem Space Echo oder dem Tera Echo – bewiesen, dass man durchaus auch in unterschiedlichen Preiskategorien in der Lage ist, uns Gitarristen mit amtlichen Delay-Sounds zu versorgen.

The Boss DD-500 is one of the few Boss pedals which are, because of their size, less pedalboard friendly. Therefor, it offers up to 10 seconds maximum delay time, tap tempo and tape emulation.
Other features of the stereo pedal that allows to choose a true bypass or a buffered processing, are modulation, expression pedal and midi input.
Furthermore, you can lead different delays (modulation models) on several channels and run the pedal serial as well as parallel.
All things considered, the 9V pedal with integrated looper provides an extremely extensive menu including tone shaping options.
Nevertheless, the Boss DD-500 which is still produced today is not really legendary and its sound is quite sterile. This is why this digital delay is a 3 of 10 on my cult factor scale.

I love nearly everything about the new Suhr Discovery Analog BBD Delay. It sounds fantastic, and does that smart Chase Bliss Audio thing of Analog Heart with a Digital Control Layer. You can scroll through 127 onboard Presets (via footswitches also) - and through smart filtering and Refine Up/Down controls you can vastly extend the delay time - without experiencing noisy artefacts.

Mit bis zu 6 Phaser-Stages und umfangreichen Modulationsmöglichkeiten erzeugt das Wombtone MKII jeden erdenklichen Phaser-Sound von berühmten Settings im Stile Brian Mays oder Van Halens bis hin zu experimentellen pulsierenden Klanglandschaften.

Signalanteil und Gesamtlautstärke des Phaser-Sound werden mittels Volume und Mix bestimmt, während das Effekttempo wahlweise per Rate-Button justiert oder über den Tap Schalter links eigegeben werden kann. 2, 4 oder 6 simultane Phaser-Stages stehen per Stage Toggle zur Verfügung und verleihen dem Sound des Wombtone je nach Setting einen eher subtilen bis direkt extremen Phaser-Effekt.

MOAI MAEA is KMA Machines’ homage to the powerful analog octaver tones of yesteryear. The pedal generates one higher octave and up to two sub-octaves, helping you create massive walls of synthy sound from a single note.

The MOAI MAEA’s upper octave section has an edgy and fuzzy character which is reminiscent of the iconic late ‘60s early ‘70s octave-up tones, as used by legends like Hendrix or The Stooges.
The sub-octave section turns your guitar into a filthy sub bass with ground shaking lows. Choose between either the first (-I), the second (-II) or both sub-octaves together (-I/-II), for an absolutely bone-breakingly heavy subsonic attack.
