Spectral Fire

Spectral Fire
OVERDRIVE
Description
The Holy Island Audio Spectral Fire is an analog overdrive and preamp pedal designed to capture aggressive, clangy drive tones with sharp articulation and noise rock saturation. At its core, the circuit evolves from the company's previous designs and utilizes a Marshall Bluesbreaker topology as its baseline architecture. This foundational circuit is modified by incorporating design elements inspired by discrete transistor-based fuzz units alongside the preamp characteristics of the classic Traynor TS50B bass amplifier. It features a passive three-band equalizer section alongside a dedicated toggle switch that alters the core circuit between two distinct operational voicings. In the upward position, the unit behaves as a clear, high-output preamp, while the downward position engages a secondary gain stage that introduces heavy compression and an unruly saturation structure.
