Der SOMA '63 Vintage Preamp ist das erste Pedal in der XFR-Serie von Greer Amps und eröffnet eine neue Klangwelt. Der SOMA '63 ist ein echter Vintage-Preamp, der auf dem Klang und dem Gefühl von Vintage-Verstärkern der braunen Ära aus Kalifornien basiert. Der SOMA '63 verfügt über einen Stahlkern-Transformator im Audio-Signalweg. Der Transformator trägt zur Klangformung des gesamten Schaltkreises bei, und wenn die Verstärkung stark angehoben wird, insbesondere bei Tonabnehmern mit höherem Output, wird der kleine Stahlkern-Transformator in die Sättigung gehen, genau wie bei einem klassischen Verstärker. Der SOMA '63 kann als tonformende Vorstufe oder als Overdrive-Pedal verwendet werden. Das SOMA '63 bietet eine große Auswahl an Sounds.

A brave new world of tone, the SOMA ‘63 Vintage Preamp is the first pedal in the XFR series of pedals from Greer Amps. The SOMA ’63 is a true vintage preamp, based on the tone and feel of vintage brown era amplifiers from California. This pedal simulates the entire preamp, phase inverter, power section, and even the feel of the vintage 10 inch Utah speakers that were in those famous brown amps. The tone stack is designed to provide a wide and dynamic range of tonal options to the user. The Presence control works with the tone stack, and is designed to be a wide range control, effecting the overall sound of the entire circuit. The SOMA ’63 features a steel core transformer in the audio signal path. The transformer lends to the overall tone shaping of the circuit, and when the gain is pushed hard, especially with higher output pickups, the small steel core transformer will saturate, just like a vintage amplifier. The SOMA ’63 can be used as a tone-shaping preamp, or as an overdrive pedal. Soma 63

The Sure Shot Clipping Boost is a different kind of boost.  Is it high headroom? NO!  Is it Germanium?  Again, NOOOOPE!  This boost is designed to get dirty, but it does so in a very special way.  The Sure Shot has one single control on its face.  The LOUD control does just that, it makes you loud, but…it does it in a way that is unique amongst boosts.  As you increase the LOUD control, the Sure Shot will push your amp into overdrive, while it also pushes a pair of MA856 clipping diodes.  
This results in a very special tone—a LAYERED drive effect, in which the amp AND the pedal are both beginning to overdrive.  Now, this alone is truly special…but wait…there’s more.  If you run this in front of your favorite boost, overdrive, distortion, or even a second Sure Shot, you’ll find that it adds texture and juiciness to those sounds.  The audio image of the Sure Shot is purposely rooted in the 1970’s, with some areas slightly peaked out, and some frequencies tamped down just a bit.

Greer Amps expands the XFR line with a new offering!  The Royal Velvet Class-A British Drive and Pre nails the feel and tone of two of Nick Greer’s favorite amps. Imagine a world in which a V*x 30 watter and a Greer Thunderbolt30 got together. In that world, you’d end up with a sound machine much like the Royal Velvet. This British drive and pre features the same transformer as the previously released, award winning SOMA63. After a year of working with this super versatile transformer, we have found a way to alter the feel of it by changing the “loading” of the transformer. This really brings the pedal to life, and makes it something truly unique in the space of drive pedals today. If you’re looking for that Class-A British grind with some chime on the top end, this beauty is what you need.

Royal Velvet

We’ve all had those late nights, filled with loud music, questionable decisions, and the occasional run-in with a big, beastly monster that wants to rip our faces off…right? Well…this is that night, in pedal form. The Gorilla Warfare MKII is a pedal that we have had a ton of requests for over the years. (We even did a super limited run of this pedal a while back, with a different graphic, slightly tweaked circuit, and a different chip…that was then, this is now, and this…this is better.) I’ve been asked more times than I can count to do a “Greer Amps version of the RAT circuit…and do it right”…well…here it is. This is our angry, aggressive, larger-than-life and not-holding-back version of the old familiar circuit, complete with the good old LM308 chip.

Gorilla Warfare MKII

The Little Samson is the answer to a request from Andy Elliott. Andy is known as a tone guru, and an amazing guitar builder. He asked us to develop a pedal, and so began his challenge. The pedal had to be better than his favorite distortion pedal. We put our engineering hats on, and went to work. The Little Samson is a very flexible pedal, with amazing tonal possibilities. The idea behind this pedal was to get a "natural, higher gain, but still FULL," tone. The highest gain cousin to the Lightspeed & Southland, this pedal gives you chunky drive, with crunched out distortion and singing lead tones; yet, it still doesn't get buzzy or flubby
