Hyper Soup

FUZZ

Description

Is it Hyper? Is it Super (Soup-er)? Is it a Fuzz? The answer is of course yes, yes and yes. The Hyper Soup is an evolution of a circuit that dates back to 1968 from Japan, which combines a multi-voiced fuzz with a searing octave effect. These basics were first expanded upon by the FZ-2 from 1993-1997 which furthered the design with a boost section and powerful EQ. Most famously used by Electric Wizard on their seminal album "Dopethrone", the blistering tones have since become legendary. We have adapted the classic circuit, and optimised it to offer additional performance-lead functionality whilst retaining all of the huge, doomy character of its inspiration.
