PREAMP

The RGX100 is a compact preamp pedal inspired by the high-gain Randall RG100ES, known for its tight, aggressive tone. It faithfully reproduces the signature RG sound while adding several key improvements. A Tightness control allows for even sharper attack by trimming low frequencies in the early gain stages, and an upgraded Sustain Volume feature corrects the original amp’s volume drop when engaging sustain mode. A new Crunch Mode introduces additional tonal flexibility by altering the bypass capacitors in the first gain stage, placing the sound halfway between the RG’s two channels. By blending Crunch, Sustain, and Gain settings, players can shape a wide range of tones—from articulate high-gain rhythm to saturated lead textures—while maintaining the character of the classic RG circuit.
