Das ECHODRIVE ist ein echtes 12AX7-Vakuumröhrenpedal mit einem branchenweit einzigartigen Mikroschaltkreis, der Ihnen alle Vorteile der berühmtesten Echopedale (und mehr) bietet; ohne die mit analogen Bändern verbundenen Probleme und Ausfallzeiten. Der Schaltkreis ist Klasse A und die Röhrenkomponente wird voll ausgenutzt, um die Vorteile der Röhren- und Tonsteuerung zu nutzen; d. h. Vorverstärker/Pufferung ist nur reine Röhre.

Das „revolutionäre“ und von Profis bewährte EHODRIVE ist eine Röhrenverzögerungseinheit, die verschiedene Verzögerungsgrade mit dem atemberaubenden Realismus der berühmtesten analogen ECHO-Bandpedale bietet. Nur die Verzögerungsleitung ist festkörperbasiert UND wird von der Röhre angetrieben und gemischt UND das trockene Signal sieht nichts als die Röhre. Die klassische Steuerungseinstellung ist MIX (nass vs. trocken), VOLUME (Röhrenausgangspegel), DELAY (Länge), ECHODRIVE (Aufnahmepegel), REPEAT. Der separate DELAY-Bereichsschalter ermöglicht einen schnellen Zugriff auf die beiden am besten nutzbaren Werte: 20 ms bis 400 ms und 200 ms bis 1,3 Sekunden. Und jetzt kommt's: Ein spezieller Filter in der Wiederholungsschaltung schneidet die hohen Frequenzen jedes Wiederholungssignals schrittweise ab, sodass das Wiederholungsmaterial beim Abklingen wärmer wird.

The ECHODRIVE is a genuine 12AX7 vacuum tube-based pedal with a unique-to-the-industry micro-circuit that gives you all the benefits of the most famous echo pedals (and more); without the hassles and down-time associated with analog tape. The circuit is Class A and the tube component is fully utilized to create the tubing and tonal control benefits; i.e. preamp / buffering is pure tube only.

The “revolutionary” and Pro proven EHODRIVE is a tube delay unit that offers various degrees of delay with the drop-jaw realism of the most famous analog tape ECHO pedals. Only the delay line is solid state AND it is driven and mixed by the tube AND the dry signal sees nothing but tube. The classic control set-up is MIX (wet vs. dry), VOLUME (tube output level), DELAY (length), ECHODRIVE (record level), REPEAT. The separate DELAY range toggle quickly accesses the 2 most usable: 20ms to 400ms and, 200ms to 1.3 seconds. And, get this: a special filter in the repeat circuit progressively cuts the high frequencies of each repeat signal such that the repeat material becomes warmer as it fades away.

Housed in a beautiful powder coated Blue 16ga. steel enclosure, the dual-channel Full-Drive 2 Mosfet gives you the best of both worlds. The first channel is the Overdrive Mode, capable of clean boost or non-compressed overdrive or choose light to medium softer overdrives all while retaining your guitar's original tone. The Tone knob is a very effective presence control that can smooth out or add upper harmonics. The second channel is the "Boost Mode" with its own separate distortion control for medium to higher gains with a more singing violin-like sustain!

One mini-toggle lets you choose between a "Vintage" FD2 sound with mid-heavy tones that cut through the mix and "FM (flat-mids)" for a more natural, transparent sound that works awesome with a Strat's neck pickup.
The other mini-toggle lets you choose between Mosfet and Normal clipping modes. Normal mode is even more asymmetrical, sweeter and more open, with no "blanket" over the sound.

The OCD pedal is the only pedal that uses 2 x Mosfets configured as hard-clipping to 'Voltage reference" instead of the usual way: to ground." The earliest OCDs used 2 x Mosfets plus 1 x Germanium diode, but very quickly these diodes became harder and harder to find, and they became expensive.

Recently I stumbled across a reasonably large stash of the right kind of Germanium diodes so I ponied-up and bought all of them. So I decided to do a run of the ultimate OCD: a Custom Shop offering with a few circuit tweaks using 2 x Mosfets plus 2 x Germanium diodes, and one hell of a beautiful paint job... Metallic Teal with a chrome undercoat! This beauty morphs between blues and greens depending on the light and angle. And what would the ultimate OCD be without a Blue LED? The sound? Great definition, more tube-like feel, a bit wider dynamic range, more sustain, and a more focused single-note tone. And as with all Fulltone pedals... 100% Built in the USA.
