Das Fredric Effects Deeply Unpleasant Companion Mk1 ist eine Nachbildung der Vintage-Fuzz-Pedale Shin-ei FY-2 und FY-6. Es ist mit den korrekten 2SC828-Transistoren gebaut, um den ursprünglichen Klang genau nachzubilden. Das Pedal hat Regler für Fuzz und Volume sowie einen Schalter zum Umschalten zwischen dem weicheren Fuzz Companion (FY-6) und dem aggressiveren, spuckenden Unpleasant Companion (FY-2) Sound. Es verfügt auch über eine nützliche LED-Anzeige und einen Standard-DC-Stromeingang, was eine Verbesserung gegenüber den ursprünglichen Vintage-Pedalen darstellt.

The Fredric Effects Deeply Unpleasant Companion Mk1 is a replica of the vintage Shin-ei FY-2 and FY-6 fuzz pedals. It is built using the correct 2SC828 transistors to accurately recreate the original sound. The pedal has controls for Fuzz and Volume, and a switch to toggle between the smoother Fuzz Companion (FY-6) and the more aggressive, spitty Unpleasant Companion (FY-2) sounds. It also features a useful LED indicator and standard DC power input, improvements over the original vintage pedals.

Der King of Klone verfügt über zwei sehr begehrte Boutique-Overdrive-Schaltkreise. Komplett mit professioneller Pulverbeschichtung in Metallic-Gold und Siebdruck-Grafiken. Für den Fall, dass ein Klone einfach nicht genug ist!

Kombiniert zwei identische vollständige Klone-Schaltkreise (Ladungspumpe, Puffer intakt), kaskadiert in einem normalen Gehäuse der Größe B (siehe Vergleichsbild mit dem MXR Dist+ für eine Vorstellung der Größe). Verwenden Sie einen Kanal für Boost, einen für Overdrive oder lassen Sie einen dauerhaft eingeschaltet – die Möglichkeiten sind endlos.

Die Pedale sind handverdrahtet und die beiden Leiterplatten sind unser eigenes Design. Stromversorgung über eine standardmäßige DC-Buchse mit mittlerem Minuspol – keine Batterien. Netzteil nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten.

Combines two identical full klone circuits (charge pump, buffer intact) cascaded in a normal B-sized enclosure (see the comparison pic with the MXR Dist+ for an idea of scale). Use one channel for boost, one for overdrive, or have one on all the time - the possibilities are endless.

The pedals are hand-wired, and the twin PCBs are our own design. Powered by standard center-neg DC jack - no batteries. Powersupply not included.

Tim Webster, Mastermind von Fredric Effects hat ein Faible für exotische, Vintage Fuzzboxen. In den späten 60er und frühen 70er Jahren sind die pfiffigen Japaner auf die Fuzzboxwelle aufgesprungen und haben ein ganze Reihe skuriler und cooler Effektpedale auf den Markt geworfen. Der japanische Hersteller Shin-Ei, bekanntgeworden durch das legendäre Univibe, hatte mit dem Companion Fuzz, einem garstigen, kratzbürstigem Sägefuzz und dem Super Fuzz, einem coolen Octav Fuzz (Höhrprobe: the Who Live at Leeds! ) 2 erfolgreiche Pedale im Programm. Das Super Unpleasant Companion Nouveau von Fredric Effects vereint die beiden legendären Schaltkreise in einem Gehäuse. Von kratzig, bröselig und sägend bis hin zu sattem Fuzz und coolen Octave Up Sounds ist alles möglich und dann noch in einem verkleinerten, pedalboardfreundlichem Vintage Bremsklotzgehäuse verpackt - großartig!!

The Fredric Effects Super Unpleasant Companion is a combined Shin-Ei FY-2 Companion Fuzz and FY-6 Superfuzz clone in a smaller enclosure then the original Companion Fuzz. We've been planning this one for a while, and are very proud of the result. We measured the last Shin-Ei (actually Kimbara branded) FY-2 to pass through our doors and got these new enclosures professionally fabricated to the same dimensions. They've improved upon the vintage boxes by using 1.2mm steel (still not heavy, but no longer bendy!) welding the joins, and using threaded inserts for the side screws. The enclosures are powder coated for a hard-wearing finish, and the classy 'Super Unpleasant Companion' name plates have also been professionally manufactured. The circuit is a faithful reproduction of both the FY-2 companion fuzz and FY-6 Superfuzz. Choose either with the big toggle switch and the controls are: FY-2: Fuzztone, Volume (little switch does nothing) FY-6: Gain/Sustain, Volume, tone switch The pedals have a Boss-type 9V DC jack, center-negative the same as Boss, MXR, new Electro Harmonix and most pedal brands. Works with daisy-chained adapters and 'power bank' type things.

Super Unpleasant Companion

The Fredric Effects Demon Fuzz is a new take on a classic pedal. The late 70s EH Muff Fuzz was a great-sounding mid-gain fuzz with only a volume control to fiddle with. Originals are rare, fragile and expensive, so Fredric Effects have used the basic IC (integrated circuit) Muff Fuzz as the basis for the Demon Fuzz. We've upped the gain a touch, added a switch for selecting silicon clipping diodes for a crunchier distortion or germanium for a vintage correct sound.
