The improved RockBoard® MODs V2 are simple all-in-one patchbays for RockBoard pedalboards with a new, refreshed design, and compact housing. Utilizing the MOD slot on all new RockBoards® (except the DUO series), they provide various cable connections to fit a wide variety of needs as a convenient patchbay. With the RockBoard® MODs, you can permanently connect your pedals underneath your board and organize all connections to and from your effects setup in one convenient module. The RockBoard® MODs provide a central access point from your instrument to your amp, as well as your power supply via IEC, and a 2.1 x 5.5 barrel thru power connector. The RockBoard® MOD 1 V2 is a pass-thru box especially designed for guitar and bass players. It can also be used to run several pedals from your board through the effects loop of your amp, or as a central access point to your pedalboard via its 4x TRS thru connections. Mit zwei wählbaren Schalt-Modi lässt sich der Switcher perfekt in jedes Setup integrieren - im Direct/Edit Mode lassen sich alle sechs Loops einzeln über den jeweiligen Fußschalter aktivieren, im Recall Mode arbeitet der Agamidae mit den gespeicherten Presets. In jedem Preset lässt sich eine beliebige Kombination der sechs Loops abspeichern. Verschiedene Pedale mit unterschiedlichen Formen und Größen können es zu einer Herausforderung machen, in einer Live-Situation einzeln auf die Pedale zu treten. Mit dem Agamidae haben alle Schalter die gleiche Größe und sind in einer Reihe positioniert, die hellen LEDs zeigen außerdem deutlich welcher Loop aktiviert ist.

The One Control Agamidae Tail Loop is a programmable six-channel loop switcher equipped with six DC outputs. With two selectable switching modes, the switcher can be perfectly integrated into any setup - in Direct/Edit Mode, all six loops can be activated individually using the respective footswitch; in Recall Mode, the Agamidae works with the stored presets. Any combination of the six loops can be saved in each preset. Having various pedals with different shapes and sizes can make it a challenge to stomp pedals one by one in a live situation. With the Agamidae all of your switches have the same size and are easily lined up with bright LEDs making it very easy to see whether you pedals are active or not.

Das Electro Harmonix Oceans 12 ist ein Stereo-Reverb-Pedal, das, wie der Name schon erahnen lässt, mit gleich 12 verschiedenen Reverb-Modi den Spieler beglücken möchte. Damit hat das Oceans 12 im Gegensatz zum seinem ebenfalls von uns getesteten Vorgänger, dem Oceans 11, noch einen Algorithmus mehr an Bord. Viel entscheidender ist aber die Möglichkeit, gleich zwei Reverbs parallel oder in Serie zu schalten, und das in Stereo.

The EHX Oceans 12 is the Oceans 11’s big brother with even more reverbs and functionality. It features two simultaneous, independent, stereo reverb engines, series and parallel control for the dual reverbs, 24 presets and advanced I/O allowing for stereo in/out or mono send/return with pre and post reverb options. The pedal also includes a new Tide Control for stereo image alteration, a Lo-fi Control, an infinite attenuation control and an input jack for external expression and 3-button footswitch control.

A Tails switch provides a choice of whether the reverb effect fades out naturally or stops immediately when the pedal is switched to bypass. In most settings the pedal is also capable of producing infinite reverb which can be played over with a different reverb effect.

The Oceans 12’s reverbs are:
• ROOM – two modes: reverb algorithms modeled after a lively room and a spacious performance hall
• SPRING – two modes: vintage 1962 Fender® 6G15 tube reverb emulation and the spring algorithm from the EHX Holy Grail
• PLATE – two modes: two emulations of the smooth, metal plate reverb often used in high-end recording studios during the 1960s and ‘70s
• REVERSE – two modes: a reverse reverb effect as well as true reversed echoes
• ECHO – three modes: a digital delay with various echo rhythms feeding into a plate reverb
• TREM – three modes: a classic, periodic volume envelope with various shapes applied to both the wet and dry mix of a hall reverb
• MOD – three modes: combinations of chorus and flange reverbs that create rich reverb tails
• DYNA – three dynamic, experimental reverb algorithms: swell, gate and duck
• AUTO-INF – three modes: auto-infinite reverb (w/optional chorus or flange) that “listens” to your playing and crossfades to a new reverb wash upon detection of newly struck notes.
• SHIMMER – two modes: two configurations of a rich octave-shifted reverb wash
• POLYPHONIC – two modes: two configurable bi-directional pitch shifts that add dimensionality to the reverb tail
• RESONANT – two modes: reverb excited by tunable resonators and configurable self-oscillating filters on the reverb tail

The OCD was the first pedal to use Mosfets as clipping devices. Another first was their configuration as "hard clippers connected to v-ref" instead of to ground, as was the norm. These things contribute greatly as to why the OCD has such touch-sensitivity...why they react so well when the strings are hit hard or soft, and why they sound & feel different than all other pedals out there, 90% of which are just slight tweaks of the Tube Screamer.

When we released our original Compressor back in 2011, it quickly became a favourite among guitar and bass players alike who were searching for something more than the typical oversimplified controls found on most compressor pedals. Although our original Compressor sounded great on bass (and still does!) we set out to do even better. 
On top of the full range of features and controls normally only seen in high end studio equipment, such as input and gain reduction metering, independent attack and release controls, a mix knob for parallel compression, and an external sidechain insert, we’ve now added a fully variable sidechain high pass filter, and a two position ‘tone + colour’ circuit which adds gentle tone sculpting and harmonic distortion, giving your bass some delicious character.

The micro-Thumpinator is a bandwidth optimizer designed for bass guitar. It removes the low frequency signals that are outside the range of notes produced by the instrument.

Infrasonic frequencies cannot be reproduced by standard bass cabinets but they often make amplifiers clip, especially when they are set to boost the lower frequencies. The Thumpinator filters the signal content optimising the energy delivered by the amplifier. Low-frequency clip is substantially reduced and the sound is tighter especially at high volume levels.

The micro-Thumpinator accepts instrument and line level signals. It can be used between preamplifier and amplifier, between bass and amplifier or anywhere in the effect chain (line or instrument level). It can also be connected directly to an audio interface.

The SV-Pre is a JFET preamplifier that has been modeled after the preamp section of the 70s SVT. Each gain stage has been carefully designed to capture the feel of warmth and breakup found on the original amp. Coupled with a cab sim, you could have the monstrous tone of the classic bass amp stack without the challenge of transporting 250 pounds of gear.

 

In addition to the gain stage design, the EQ and tone switches have been designed to give the same response as those on the original amp. The Bass and Treble controls are the standard James stack configuration, having a shelving response of the lows and highs. The eq is flat when at noon.

 

The middle control uses a simulated inductor to emulate the same frequency response and width of the mid control on the SVT. Instead of three fixed frequencies, the frequency knob continuously varies from 220 to 3k Hz. The mid eq is flat when at noon.

 

The Low toggle switch uses the same circuitry as the three-way Ultra lo switch on the SVT. With the toggle to the right, a 2-pole high pass filter is applied, and allows for a more natural drive tone. With the toggle in the middle position, the low end is unaffected. With the toggle in the left position, a slight scoop is applied, emphasizing deep lows and treble frequencies. The Bright toggle switch applies a treble boost, and is more pronounced at lower gain settings.

 

A Master volume knob has been added on the output to set the overall level. Use the Gain knob to set the desired amount of warmth and overdrive. The Gain knob is equivalent the the Volume knob on the 70s SVT.

 

The pedal requires a 9V DC power supply (not included). Do not exceed 9V as this will damage the pedal. The DC supply should be a standard Boss style connector, center negative polarity. The current draw is approximately 20 mA.

 

Power Supply Notes

The JFETs are sensitive to power supply noise. Ideally you should use a clean power supply that is isolated from other pedals (i.e. not daisy chained). Some switch mode power supplies tend to be more noisy and should be avoided. Use a good quality, isolated supply and the SV-Pre will perform with very low noise.

 

The SV-Pre has a true bypass switch.
