Description

A modern homage to the vintage germanium-based Tone Bender Mkiii circuit, the Bender Royale delivers saturated fuzz, spanning from thick and smooth to brash and sputtery tones. It builds upon the original three-knob controls (Volume, Fuzz, and a passive Bass) with several modern enhancements. These include a FAT switch for a massive bass and low-mids boost, a CLIP switch to select between smooth germanium (Ge) or rougher LED clipping, and a BIAS knob to adjust the circuit voltage for gated, ripping fuzz sounds. An active TREBLE control helps tame high frequencies, and a BLEND knob mixes the dry signal back in for clarity. The pedal features mechanical true bypass switching with soft footswitch action for both latching and momentary use.
