Following the very well received Brute Drive, we are proud to introduce the newest pedal from EWS, the Little Brute Drive (LBD). From its small body, jumps out an intense distortion similar to its big brother, the Brute Drive.

Its compact design takes us very little real estate. It will fit anywhere you desire on your pedal board. But don't let the small size fool you. This simple one-knob powerhouse produces heavy crunch to fiery distortion sounds. Output level and treble control can be adjusted with 2 trimmers located on the PC board inside the pedal.

This is an overdrive/distortion pedal that is compact in size, user-friendly and surely to become your work-ready weapon! And of course, it's true-bypass.

Little Brute Drive (LBD)

Der LBD2 ist ein Gitarrenpedal mit gleichem Tondesign wie sein Vorgänger, dem LBD. Je nach Verstärkungseinstellung bietet der LBD2 einen knackigen und vollen Klang mit vielen Mitten. Um den besten Sound zu erzielen, empfiehlt es sich, den Tone-Regler zu nutzen, um die hohen Frequenzen abzusenken, sowie den Lautstärke- und Mid-Schalter an der Oberseite des Pedals einzustellen. Der Mid-Schalter ermöglicht eine kontrollierte Einstellung des mittleren Frequenzbereichs. Das Pedal kann mit einer 9V-Batterie oder einem externen Netzteil betrieben werden, verfügt aber auch über einen eingebauten 16V-Wandler. Die Verwendung eines 16V-Netzteils bietet mehr Headroom, einen größeren Dynamikbereich und reduziert die Kompression. Es wird empfohlen, bei Verwendung eines externen Netzteils mit 16V den erhöhten Stromverbrauch des Pedals zu berücksichtigen. Beim Öffnen des Pedals sollte der Schiebeschalter auf der Platine überprüft werden, um die Steuerspannung auf 9V oder 16V einzustellen.

LBD2 has the same tone design as the previous LBD. In low gain, it's crunchy and full of mid-range. In high gain, it's crisper and more focused. To get the best sound, use a tone control to cut high frequencies, a volume control, and the mid switch (for mid-range strength) at the top of the pedal. The mid switch controls the mid-range. It's a tone setting that pushes the midrange in three stages from the foot switch to the DC jack. Check the slide switch on the board when you remove the back panel. This slide switch sets the effect drive voltage to 9V or 16V. The LBD2 can be used with a 9V battery and an external power supply, but it also has a built-in 16V converter. A 16V drive gives more headroom and a wider dynamic range. It also reduces compression. Use an external power supply with 16V as the current consumption of the power supply increases.

Third generation Tri-Logic3 keeps the same neutral characteristic as the Tri-Logic1 and 2, minimizing the coloring of tone, but also has an abundant of added features and flexibility to correspond with any bass guitar. Gain control has an option between clean boost mode (Normal), with a maximum of +18db, or high gain mode (Hi Gain) with compression at +26db. The Treble control provides ±15db and can be switched between 4KHz (low) or 8KHz (high) with toggle switch. The Mid control knob provides ±10db and allows for sweeping between 250Hz to 3KHz. LA CHORUS ist ein analoges Chorus-Pedal im Vintage-Stil der 80er, das den klassischen Markenton des BBD-Chips verwendet, um „zeitgemäße“, warme analoge Chorus-Töne originalgetreu zu reproduzieren. E.W.S. hat das SCH-Z Chorus-Pedal durch Hinzufügen von True Bypass, Vibe-Modus usw. modifiziert und es wurde gut angenommen. Dieses Pedal basiert auf dem SCH-1, das als „klangliches Meisterwerk“ bezeichnet wurde – LA CHORUS ist vollgepackt mit den modifizierten Funktionen des SCH-Z und zahlreichen Klangvariationen. Der SCH-1 verfügt über eine in den DRY-Klangschaltkreis integrierte Klangregelung, und das Signal, das durch die Klangregelung geht, wird an den WET-Klangschaltkreis gesendet. Daher ändern sich beim Einstellen des Klangs die DRY- und WET-Töne immer synchron. LA CHORUS is a 80’s vintage style analog chorus pedal that uses the classic trademark tone of the BBD chip to faithfully reproduce “period correct” warm analog chorus tones. E.W.S. has modified the SCH-Z chorus pedal by adding true bypass, vibe mode, etc., and it has been well received. This pedal is based on the SCH-1 which has been called a “Sonic masterpiece” - The LA CHORUS is packed with the SCH-Z modified features and numerous tone variations. The SCH-1 has a tone control built into the DRY sound circuit, and the signal that passes through the tone control is sent to the WET sound circuit. Therefore, when adjusting the tone, the DRY and WET tones will always change in sync. LA CHORUS has independent tone controls for DRY and WET, allowing to adjust the tone individually.

LA Chorus

Der Little Fuzzy Drive wurde entwickelt, um Sounds zu erzeugen, die auf Retro-Fuzz-Tönen basieren, jedoch mit moderner Steuerbarkeit und Stabilität, was zu einer großen Vielfalt an Tönen führt.
Als Verstärkerelement haben wir anstelle des seltenen Germaniumtransistors die Schaltung mit Operationsverstärker verwendet. Dadurch konnten wir die bekannten instabilen Eigenschaften des Germaniumtransistors überwinden, die durch seine individuellen Unterschiede und Temperaturschwankungen verursacht werden.
Mit dem Kippschalter können Sie zwischen den Modi Fuzzy Drive und Fat Fuzzy wählen. Der Fuzzy Drive-Modus ähnelt seinem Vorgänger, dem Fuzzy Drive, und bietet ein relativ straffes Klangdesign, jedoch mit hoher Verstärkung und tieferer Verzerrung.
Der Fat Fuzz-Modus hat einen volleren Klang mit einer Verstärkung im mittleren Bereich, was noch mehr Verstärkung ermöglicht.

The Little Fuzzy Drive is designed to provide sounds based on retro fuzz tones, but with modern controllability and stability resulting in a rich variety of tones.
For amplifying element, instead of the rare germanium transistor, we used the circuitry with operational amplifier. This enabled us to overcome the known unstable characteristics of the germanium transistor caused by its individual difference and temperature shift.
The Toggle Switch allows you to choose between Fuzzy Drive and Fat Fuzzy modes. Fuzzy Drive mode is similar to its predecessor, the Fuzzy Drive, providing relatively tight tone design, but with high gain and deeper distortion.
Fat Fuzz mode has thicker sound with a mid range boost, allowing for even more gain.
