The E.N.T Effects Shinuchi Overdrive is a boutique Japanese overdrive pedal designed to offer a distinctive take on traditional transparent overdrive circuits. It uses an original circuit configuration that aims to provide responsive gain without the typical low-end boom and compression of standard transparent designs, offering a “glossy midrange” with active bass and treble controls for nuanced tone shaping. The volume control employs a B-curve pot for even response, and the drive control can deliver up to roughly twice the gain of conventional transparent overdrives, making it suitable as both a drive and a boost.
