Dieser Effekt, der in den Achtzigern in einigen berühmten Gitarrenaufnahmen auftauchte, war damals für uns “normale” Musiker kaum erschwinglich. Aber diese Zeiten haben sich glücklicherweise geändert. Pitch-Effekte sind inzwischen im Effektangebot vieler Hersteller zu recht günstigen Kursen zu finden.

The EHX Pitch Fork transposes an instrument’s pitch over a +/- three octave range and features three modes which allow the pitch to be transposed up, down or both, simultaneously. The pitch shift amount can be set to a fixed interval or continuously varied by an expression pedal or control voltage.

Auf diese Weise kannst du das Pedal als zwei kaskadierte Distortrons, zwei kaskadierte Super Hard-Ons (wie ein Super Duper 2-in-1), oder eine Box of Rock mit Boost oder einen Super Hard-On in eine Box of Rock konfigurieren. Distortion/Boost-Himmel!

This pedal was originally designed for J.Mascis. He requested two Box of Rock™ pedals in one box with two stomp switches. He uses it regularly now, but we did one (or two) better with the one we’re releasing to the public... we made it so you can adjust the sub frequencies (like the Distortron), and you can convert either channel to a Super Hard-On™. In this way, you can configure the pedal to be two Distortrons cascaded, two Super Hard-Ons cascaded (like a Super Duper 2-in-1), or a Box of Rock with boost, or a Super Hard-On going into a Box of Rock. Distortion/boost heaven!

It's the perfect complement to bass player Justin Chancellor's multi-dimensional role in the band Tool. Whether opening up soundscapes with chords and harmonics or syncing up with guitarist Adam Jones to perform arresting single-note unison runs, Justin goes above and beyond the traditional boundaries of his instrument to help compose the band's multi-layered tunes. He is, without a doubt, one of the modern pioneer users of effects on bass, and he keeps a carefully configured pedalboard at his disposal for crafting tones and exploring sounds. JCT95 Justin Chancellor Cry Baby Wah

Dimebag Darrell kombinierte die Attitüde eines Cowboys mit High-Gain Riffs und schreienden Leads voller Pinch Harmonics. Eines der wichtigsten Elemente seines Sounds war das Cry Baby Wah, dass er in einer Zeit spielte, als Wah-Pedale lange aus der Mode waren. Durch seine Erfahrung aus jahrelangen Touren half Dimebag Dunlop bei der Entwicklung des flexibelsten Wah-Pedals aller Zeiten: Dem Dime Cry Baby From Hell Wah. 

Dunlop baute das Dime Cry Baby Wah-Pedal auf der Grundlage des 535Q, nahm die Q-Control, den 6-Wege Range Schalter und den schalt- und regelbaren Boost, modifizierte die Sweep Range speziell nach den Bedürfnissen von Dimebag, fügte einen Regler für die max. Sweep Range und einen zweiten Output hinzu und installierte zwei Status LEDs an der Rückseite des Pedals, die den Zustand von Wah und Boost anzeigen. Als letztes Detail wurde die klassische Gummi-Matte auf der Oberseite durch Skateboard Skip Tape getauscht, damit das Pedal auch in Kontakt mit Feuchtigkeit absolut rutschfest bleibt. 

Das Dimebag Cry Baby ist das ultimative Tool für den tourenden Gitarristen und der neue, schwarze Camo-Look zaubert sicher nicht nur 'Cowboys From Hell' ein breites Grinsen in das Gesicht.

Dimebag Darrell combined a cowboy’s swagger with high-gain riffs and squealing pinch harmonic-laden leads. One of the most significant elements of his sound and dynamics was the Cry Baby Wah, and at a time when wah pedals had fallen out of fashion, Dime flew his wah flag high. Armed with his hard-earned expertise and insight from years of touring, he helped Dunlop devise the most versatile wah in their lineup: The Dime Cry Baby from Hell Wah.

Work on this pedal first began some 20 years ago when Dime, a long-time user of the super customizable Cry Baby 535Q Multi-Wah, wanted even more freedom when setting up his rig on stage. Starting with the 535Q, Dunlop carried over its Q control, 6-way range selector, and adjustable kick-in boost. Next, Dunlop hot-rodded it with a wide sweep range for Dime to dig deep and fly high, a control to adjust the pedal’s toe-down frequency, an extra output for splitting your signal to a separate FX chain, and back-mounted LED indicators to conveniently show whether the wah is on and whether the boost is engaged. Finally, Dunlop replaced the standard rubber tread with skateboard skid tape so that your foot doesn’t slip on any spilled beverages.

The Dimebag Cry Baby from Hell Wah is the ultimate wah pedal for your touring rig, and with its new black camo finish, it’ll have you wearing a black-toothed grin in no time.
