The Dunlop CBJ95 Cry Baby Junior Wah is purpose-built for pedalboards. This wah has been carefully crafted for maximum layout efficiency on pedalboards and the front-mounted input, output, and power jacks allow for a tighter configuration of pedals, freeing up space on the sides that would normally be taken up by cable ends. The Cry Baby Junior Wah's 8" housing length lines up perfectly with the routing spaces on some boards for a nice, clean arrangement of cords. The Cry Baby Junior Wah allows for just as much versatility in tone as it does for the pedalboard layout. On the side of the pedal is a convenient and accessible three-position switch that allows musicians to choose one of Dunlop's three most popular Cry Baby Wah voices, covering the full frequency spectrum. The H setting provides the aggressive modern sound of the GCB95, M provides the midrange growl of vintage wah pedals, and L provides a sound that's dark and rich.

CBJ95 CRY BABY JUNIOR WAH

Cited as a major influence by wah masters such as Hendrix, Clapton, and Vaughn, Buddy Guy helped establish the effect as part of the blues vocabulary. To honor his contributions we have created the Buddy Guy Cry Baby Wah, featuring the Fasel Inductor for a sweet and singing top end, and two distinct user selectable wah voices—choose "DEEP" for a big and throaty growl, or "BG" for Buddy's own warm and bell-like wah tone. Convenient side-mounted LEDs indicate which mode you are in, while a separate LED indicates effect on/off. The EVH Wah was developed after intensive design collaboration with the legendary guitarist, Eddie Van Halen. Early on in the process, Eddie handed over his "Holy Grail" Cry Baby Wah—a standard Cry Baby customized in the early Nineties with a more vocal-like, High Q inductor and a wider frequency sweep.

This unique and famous effect was popularized by Peter Frampton, Joe Walsh, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, and others. The sturdy metal casing houses a phenolic diaphragm speaker, powered by your amplifier's external speaker jack. (Place it in line with your external speaker, which can remain connected.) A 6-1/2 foot surgical tube carries the diaphragm speaker's sound to your mouth. The tube end is placed near a vocal mic.
