Edward Van Halen's Gitarrensound auf dem Debüt Album von1978 katapultierte ihn schlagartig in dem Olymp des Rock und selbst nach mehr als 25 Jahren hat die Gitarrenarbeit auf diesem Album nichts von ihrer Faszination eingebüßt. Den unglaublichen Sound, den EVH auf dieser Platte kreierte, gehört zu den absoluten Meilensteinen des Rock und ein wichtiger Bestandteil dieses Sounds war von vornherein der MXR Phase 90. Der Phase 90 trug maßgeblich zu den zeitlosen Gitarrensounds von “Eruption,“ “Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love,“ “On Fire,“ und “Atomic Punk“, sowie vieler anderer klassischer Van Halen Stücke bei. Entstanden aus einer Zusammenarbeit zwischen Eddie Van Halen und Jim Dunlop ist der EVH 90 eine komplett neu designte Version des legendären Phase 90. he LFO on the Voyager 1 offers a wide range of speed and depth, via the Frequency and Strength controls. A switch to select between Triangle or Square wave shapes allows you to dial in a smooth or choppier feel. The all analog, light-based (optical) design of the Voyager 1 gives it vintage tone and feel, while its control options set it apart from the old standards.

The Voyager 1 features an optional envelope control section that changes parameters based on your playing dynamics. Sensitivity is dialed to perfection with the Envelope control, and a selector switch chooses between two envelope control options. The Freq setting allows the LFO speed to increase with louder dynamics and slow back down when playing with a lighter touch. In the Fade position, a heavy hand will fade out the tremolo effect; with tremolo fading back in with light playing or sustained phrases.

The Triplegraph is a digital octave pedal designed by CopperSound Pedals and Jack White, featuring three proprietary telegraph keys and an integrated auxiliary loop. Utilizing a high-power DSP Blackfin Processor, Triplegraph triggers an octave down with the left key, octave up with the right key, while the middle key activates a killswitch or auxiliary loop. In KILL mode, the middle key acts as a momentary killswitch, allowing the player to remove their dry signal and attain a fully wet octave up and/or down when used in conjunction with the octave keys. In AUXILIARY mode, the player can connect one or more of their favorite effects in parallel with the octaves via the send/return jacks, and trigger them in momentary bursts. The high and low octaves can be triggered in parallel with the dry signal when the octave keys are pressed independently. The octaves themselves track seamlessly with zero latency, and can be triggered in latching or momentary modes, using our “Loctave” toggle switches. The telegraph keys themselves are composed of custom stainless steel and aluminum components, making them indestructible and exceedingly durable for both hand and foot operation. Over four years in the making, the collaborative result is an innovative, state of the art clean-tracking octave pedal, capable of standing its own against industry standards.

When Vox determined that the circuitry from the original Tonelab tabletop multi-effects processor could be installed inside the VC12, the second generation Tonelab, the Tonelab SE, was born.

The Tonelab SE was optimized for live performance. It ditched the digital S/PDIF connector used for recording purposes while keeping a pair of ¼" analog stereo outputs. The Tonelab SE also increased the number of effects available from 22 in the standard Tonelab to 50 in the SE.
