However we decided to change the original a little bit. We changed the Octave Transistors to ones with a higher hfe, to get a little better Octave Sound out of it.

Das originale Focus Fuzz wurde entwickelt, um den vollen Geschmack von Vintage-Fuzz ohne viel Schnickschnack zu liefern. Aufgrund seines Germaniumtransistors auf nur 250 Stück limitiert, war dieses Pedal bereits 2023 innerhalb weniger Tage ausverkauft. Es folgte eine Vollsiliziumversion mit einer dunkleren, sanfteren Version dieser Schaltung. Dennoch erhielten wir zahlreiche Anfragen, das Original neu aufzulegen.

Doch wir wollten nicht darauf verzichten, es zu erweitern und haben der Deluxe-Version zwei neue Schaltungen hinzugefügt, die die einzigartige Focus-Steuerung optimal nutzen – einen Overdrive-Modus für leichtere Gain-Sounds und einen strukturierten, nahezu sauberen Boost, den Sie am liebsten dauerhaft eingeschaltet lassen möchten.

The original Focus Fuzz was designed to deliver all the flavour of vintage fuzz with none of the fuss. Limited to just 250 units because of its germanium transistor, this pedal sold out in a matter of days back in 2023. An all-silicon version followed, offering a darker, smoother take on this circuit, but we nevertheless received many requests to reissue the original.

But we didn’t want to do that without expanding on it and, in the Deluxe version, we’ve added two new circuits that capitalise on the unique Focus control – an overdrive mode for lighter gain sounds and a textured, almost-clean boost that you may want to leave on all the time.

Die zweite Schaltung verzichtet auf den Transformator und verwendet stattdessen einen Germaniumtransistor, was einen helleren, aggressiveren Klang ergibt. Eine umkehrbare Send/Return-Schleife zwischen den beiden Sektionen ermöglicht das Einschleifen weiterer Pedale oder das Platzieren jedes Preamps an unterschiedlichen Stellen der Effektkette.

The Broadcast AP-II is a dual preamplifier pedal designed in conjunction with guitarist Ariel Posen. It features two independent, differently-voiced preamplifier circuits which each add their own subtle colour. The first is fitted with a silicon transistor and transformer, bringing the smooth, darker tone of the original Broadcast-AP. The second removes the transformer and replaces the silicon with a germanium transistor, resulting in a brighter, more aggressive tone. A reversible send/return loop between the two sections lets you insert other pedals or place each preamp at different points in your signal chain.

V-3 features the same options as the V-2, so it’s basically the same product in the context of secondary options. However, we played around with the complex opto-system a lot. The main difference between V-3 and V-2 is in the modulation EQ. V-2 modulates just a slight part of the main tone (mid-range focused modulation), while V-3 blends in nicely with the main tone and modulates it without changing the EQ. V-3 has a wider modulation and brings more depth.

The miniFUZZ V2 combines the tones and options of both the miniFUZZ Si and the miniFUZZ Ge, giving you the option to switch between the distinctive  tones of silicon or germanium. The miniFUZZ has a plethora of controls  which allow you to dial in authentic vintage silicon or germanium  tones and much more! The side Dip-Switch gives fast and easy access to the amazing new tonal options.  We have added a switchable  buffer to the miniFuzz. If you chose to engage the buffer you will be able to drive long cables and complex pedal setups with no loss of tone or change of tone when engaging  the miniFUZZ. We have added a four setting tone control for tweaking the texture of the fuzz. Leave it off for bright gritty tones or select one of the options for a smoother, silkier tone.  We still have controls for boosting the output or lifting the bass response. The “Butter Machine” was developed in collaboration with Michael Landau to create his ideal distortion pedal. We have made countless prototypes, which took more than 2 years in R&D. Having Michael use the prototypes at his sessions and on tour, we were able to hear his direct feedback and aim straight for his ideal driven tone. In addition, new ideas were implemented, and various improvements were made by testing the prototypes at his recording sessions and at his home studio in Los Angeles as well. Das Universal Audio UAFX Brigade Chorus & Vibrato ist ein kompaktes digitales Pedal, das den legendären Boss CE-1 Chorus Ensemble von 1976 authentisch emuliert. Way back in 1976, the first commercially available chorus pedal was released. The massive tank-like piece of hardware is still touted by many guitarists as the finest chorus ever crafted due to its thick, watery, and rippling chorus (and vibrato) tones. The UAFX Brigade is Universal Audio’s ultra-precise sonic tribute to that long-discontinued pedal, sporting an immaculate bucket brigade chorus/vibrato digital emulation that builds off of UA’s modern-classic Astra Modulation Machine algorithms. However, unlike the pedal of Brigade’s inspiration (or even the Astra), this pedal comes equipped with a supremely straightforward setup of three simple knobs and a 2-way switch to swap between chorus and vibrato. Furthermore, the Brigade features spot-on modeling of an analog preamp modeling section to impart your signal with a touch of old-school character and potent vintage-style punch.
