Description
The Kukulcan is a triple-stage analog preamp and "natural signal exaggerator" handcrafted by guitar effects artist Dr. No. Its circuit features three independent gain stages stacked in series, each driven by a custom-designed "Skullsistor" silicon transistor. The pedal is designed to push the signal into natural clipping while preserving the inherent character of the guitar and amplifier, offering tones that range from mild enhancement to extreme saturation. The three stages are labeled Rain (Stage 1), Storm (Stage 2), and Earthquake (Stage 3), each assigned its own dedicated gain potentiometer and footswitch for flexible stacking combinations. The unit includes a power noise filter to eliminate interference often associated with high-gain preamps. Its visual design features 3D-flocked "feathered" elements, custom chicken-head knobs, and LED-coded footswitches, limited to a total production run of 100 units.
