Durch dieses flexible Routing erweitert das Total Sonic Annihilation 2 bestehende Effekt-Setups um völlig ungeahnte Möglichkeiten! Die überarbeitete V2-Version kommt mit einer aktiven Boost-Sektion, die die Benutzerfreundlichkeit für viele Anwendungsmöglichkeiten maximiert. Wenn beispielsweise der Effekt im Feedback Loop mit sich selbst phasenverschoben ist, würde der Loop das Pedal in ein Volume- oder Blend-Pedal verwandeln und das Ergebnis würde etwas enttäuschend sein. Für diesen Fall bietet das TSA2 einen Phase-Schalter, der die Phase des Loops dreht. Die Boost-Sektion bietet zusätzlich jede Menge Gain, um selbst den schwächsten Effekt in ein 'unkontrollierbares Ungetüm' zu verwandeln, und einen Limiter, um 'widerspenstige' Noise-Artefakte besser kontrollieren zu können. The Death By Audio Total Sonic Annihilation 2 (TSA2) works on a simple premise: what if effect pedals were patched back into themselves? What does it sound like for a filter to be multiplied by infinity? Or if your modulator was modulating its own modulations? The TSA2 creates a controllable feedback loop, causing your pedals to cycle back on themselves, feeding the output back into the input as much or as little as you want. Experience true sonic exploration: every unique pedal array will produce a vast world of textures and possibilities. If you've used a feedback loop pedal before, (like the 1st edition of the Total Sonic Annihilation) then you know the vast world of insane and wild sounds you can get. With this new updated version of the original, the active boost maximizes usability for many applications where the original fell short. For example, if the effect in the feedback loop is out of phase with itself, the loop would turn the pedal into a volume or blend pedal and be somewhat disappointing. With the TSA2, just flip the phase switch and all of a sudden those once dormant possibilities are awakened! The boost section also provides loads of gain to awaken even the faintest effect into an unearthly behemoth, and a limiter to tame the most unruly beast into a purring kitten. Experiment with as many different pedals in the feedback loop for unique and incredible results!

Das Pedal vereint eine Drive-Schaltung im Stil klassischer Recording Konsolen mit veralteten Germanium-Transistoren und einer extrem intensiven Filter-Sektion. Das Ergebnis ist eine satte, kräftige Verzerrung, die sich wirklich in jedem dankbaren Kontext durchsetzt. Der Filter-Regler funktioniert extrem unkonventionell und reicht von einem 'bodenlosen' Sub-Bass Boost bis hin zu scharfen, schreienden Höhen - mit einem unglaublich breiten Spektrum unterschiedlicher Sounds dazwischen. Dadurch wird der Germanium Filter zum perfekten Werkzeug um den Sweet Spot des eigenen Equipments zu finden und perfekt zu betonen - auf der Bühne, im Studio und in jeder anderen denkbaren Situation.
