The Dazatronyx Brown Sound is a premium distortion pedal based on the classic BSIAB2 (Brown Sound In A Box) circuit designed by Ed Guidry. It is engineered to emulate the "Voltage Starved Marshall JMP" tone popularized by Eddie Van Halen. The circuit utilizes three cascaded gain stages with NOS Fairchild 5457 Field Effect Transistors (FETs), which provide a vacuum-tube-like response and feel without using diodes for clipping. It is known for its high gain, "fat" bottom end, and exceptional responsiveness to instrument volume adjustments. Each pedal is hand-built in Melbourne, Australia, featuring a hybrid of surface-mount (SMD) components for lower noise and through-hole assembly for structural reliability.
