Wie der Name schon sagt, ist der Foo Driver eine Hommage an die Foo Fighters, aber er ist viel mehr als das. Dieses Pedal basiert auf dem Crowther Hot Cake, einem legendären Overdrive, der viele der Sounds auf den Foo Fighters-Alben geprägt hat. Das Pedal ist extrem vielseitig und liefert einen cremigen, organischen und wunderschönen Drive. Das erklärt die Begeisterung unzähliger Gitarristen für den Hot Cake.
Über die Jahrzehnte wurden verschiedene Versionen des Hot Cake veröffentlicht, und genau darin liegt die Besonderheit des Foo Driver. Alle diese Versionen sind in unserem Pedal vereint! Möglich macht dies drei DIP-Schalter im Inneren des Foo Driver. Kurz gesagt: Sie können von einem raueren Sound zu polierteren und gemäßigteren Tönen wechseln. Es ist, als könnten Sie mit einer einfachen Einstellungsänderung von Dave Grohls Sound zu dem von Mark Knopfler – ebenfalls ein Hot Cake-Fan – wechseln. Ach ja, fast hätten wir es vergessen: Seit der Schließung von Crowther Audio ist der Preis für Hot Cakes stetig gestiegen. Ein weiterer Grund, sich den Foo Driver zuzulegen und die weltweit begehrten Overdrive-Sounds direkt zur Hand zu haben. Viele der Collateral FX-Effekte wurden mit dem Sound der Foo Fighters im Hinterkopf entwickelt. Daher ist nichts passender als ein Pedal als Hommage an diese Band, die uns über die Jahre so sehr inspiriert hat!

As the name suggests, the Foo Driver is a tribute to the Foo Fighters, but it's much more than that. This pedal is based on the Crowther Hot Cake, a legendary overdrive that shaped many of the sounds we hear on Foo Fighters albums. This pedal is extremely versatile, with a creamy, organic, and very beautiful drive. This justifies the devotion that countless guitarists have for the Hot Cake.
Over the decades, different versions of the Hot Cake have been released, and that's where the Foo Driver's difference lies. All of these versions are in our pedal! This is possible thanks to 3 dip switches inside the Foo Driver. In short: you can go from a rougher sound to more polished and moderate tones. It's like being able to go from Dave Grohl's tones to Mark Knopfler's – another Hot Cake devotee – with a simple change of setting.
Oh, before we forget, it's worth mentioning that since the closure of Crowther Audio, the price of Hot Cakes has been steadily rising. Another reason for you to get the Foo Driver and have those overdrive tones so desired around the world at your fingertips.
Much of the Collateral FX was designed with the sound of Foo Fighters in mind, so nothing is more fitting than a pedal in homage to this band that has inspired us so much over the years!

Im Herzen des Pedals arbeitet eine fein abgestimmte, diskrete analoge Fuzz-Schaltung, die für einen reichen Obertongehalt und dynamisches Ansprechverhalten sorgt. Das Layout ist einfach und intuitiv und bleibt dem Geist klassischer Stompboxen treu, bietet aber gleichzeitig mehr Flexibilität bei der Klangformung. Im Oktavmodus entfesseln sich schneidende Obertöne im oberen Register, die sich mit Vintage-Attitüde und synthartiger Textur in jedem Mix durchsetzen. Schaltet man ihn aus, erwartet einen ein warmer, fetter Fuzz-Sound – voll von weichen Mitten und sanfter Kompression, perfekt für Soli, Akkorde oder riffbetonte Grooves.

The Super Forty pedal is a pedal-format re-imagining of the vintage Ashly SC-40 instrument preamplifier, as famous for use by many bassists. It offers controls for Level, Gain, and a semi-parametric 3-band EQ, with independent sweepable frequency controls and ±15 dB boost or cut per band. Versatility is high and low at the same time in this case – low in the sense that it basically does one thing, and one thing alone. That said, the tonal possibilities within that limited range of ‘just’ overdrive, are quite amazing. And while you may argue that it is nothing but transparent and also adds compression that you can’t really control other than with playing dynamics, I find the drive both musical and pleasant when you find just the right setting which is relatively easy."

Sonically, the Voodoo-Bass is similar to that original Voodoo-1 pedal (as in Jimi's "Voodoo Chile"), giving anything from a slight natural crunch to a smooth powerful distortion. At maximum gain it makes a medium-sized combo sound like something about four times bigger, but without the over-compressed wall of noice associated with most stomp boxes. In fact it allows for very dynamic playing; chug a chord from soft-and-damped to loud-and-ringing and the pedal goes with you - from quiet and relatively clean to over-the-edge grunge. Alternatively, simply control your overall volume ( and hence amount of distortion ) from your guitar's volume knob. 
The Voodoo-Bass is designed to give a single coil pickup a gutsier tone, more like that of a classic humbucker. It definitely gets into same ball park... the low middle stays thick and constant no matter how the tone is set, and it's this region that has the humbucker character - a really handy approximation for someone wanting a change of sound at the press of a button." " The Voodoo-Bass sounds refreshingly unboxy, and with most types of amps it does the job really professionally."

Der Freq-Regler bietet - je nach internem Setting - einen Boost oder Cut bei 100 Hz bzw. 500 Hz, der Curve-Regler bedämpft je nach Bedarf die Höhen im Signal, falls der Sound zu aggressiv im Treble-Bereich wird. Das Spektrum an möglichen Sounds reicht von klar und definiert über einen satten, kräftigen Drive bis zu einer extrem 'dreckigen', rauen Verzerrung.

The Tube Squealer is a 3-mode, soft-clipping overdrive pedal built to faithfully recreate three classic Tube Screamer circuits (808, TS9, TS10). It adds modern functionality: a mix knob for blending clean and driven signal, a pickup-voicing switch (single-coil / humbucker), selectable bypass (true or buffered), and an onboard voltage boost to increase headroom. It’s fully analog and constructed with premium components and careful testing.

Using the MOD switch, you can select the stock 808-based circuit, or instantly pick from 3 different custom modifications. Whether you need more gain, tighter bass response, a more vocal midrange, or a thick and juicy lead tone, Sparkle Drive MOD gives you the tools to get there.

In VINTAGE mode, you get the classic tube-style midrange grind that’s great for blues or for boosting your solos.
