Grundlage des Pedals ist ein Class A Low-Noise Schaltungs-Design, das es Musikern mit wenig Aufwand ermöglicht ihren Gitarren-Sound an die jeweiligen Anforderungen anzupassen. Das Pedal betont den ursprünglichen Charakter der Gitarre und fügt dezent etwas Druck und Kraft hinzu. Selbst mit einem Minimum an Gain klingt der Sound klarer und durch den integrierten Buffer wird einem Soundverlust bei langen Kabelwegen effektiv entgegengewirkt. Wie die erste Version bietet der Blackened Pickup Booster einen sauberen Boost ohne den Sound ungewollt zu verfälschen, bietet aber bei Bedarf auch die Möglichkeit das Voicing von Single Coil Pickups in Richtung Humbucker zu verschieben.

Originally released in 2002 and residing on the pedalboards of iconic musicians like George Lynch, Peter Frampton, and Alex Skolnick, the Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster is a true-bypass pedal with a class A, low-noise circuit design, and can be used to dial in the tone you need for every situation. It will emphasize your guitar’s natural tone while adding some muscle and fatness. It uses a discrete push-pull output stage for increased drive capability so, even with the Gain knob down to 0 dB, your signal chain will sound cleaner – even with long cable runs – essentially acting as a buffer on your pedalboard. Like the original, this pedal is designed to boost your signal without altering the character of your guitar, while also hiding a few tone-shaping tricks up its sleeve. The updated version comes with a nice matte black chassis. The Pickup Booster is for when you love the sound of your guitar, but you need a little more: more output, more gain or just a little more control over your guitar’s voice without changing its fundamental character. Think of it as sending your guitar to the gym.

The OCD pedal is the only pedal that uses 2 x Mosfets configured as hard-clipping to 'Voltage reference" instead of the usual way: to ground." The earliest OCDs used 2 x Mosfets plus 1 x Germanium diode, but very quickly these diodes became harder and harder to find, and they became expensive.

Recently I stumbled across a reasonably large stash of the right kind of Germanium diodes so I ponied-up and bought all of them. So I decided to do a run of the ultimate OCD: a Custom Shop offering with a few circuit tweaks using 2 x Mosfets plus 2 x Germanium diodes, and one hell of a beautiful paint job... Metallic Teal with a chrome undercoat! This beauty morphs between blues and greens depending on the light and angle. And what would the ultimate OCD be without a Blue LED? The sound? Great definition, more tube-like feel, a bit wider dynamic range, more sustain, and a more focused single-note tone. And as with all Fulltone pedals... 100% Built in the USA.

Die +CREAM-Einstellung ist etwas weicher als die Bluesberry-Einstellung (verfügbar als DIP-Schalter im Inneren der V1) und ist nun von außen zugänglich. 

Die XLF-Einstellung (eXtended Low Frequency) lässt mehr tiefe Frequenzen durch und eignet sich perfekt für Bass- und 7-saitige Gitarren. Diese Einstellung funktioniert genauso wie der interne „Bass”-Dip-Schalter der V1. Ohne diese Einstellung werden die tiefen Frequenzen knapp unterhalb des tiefen E einer Gitarre sanft abgerundet, um subharmonische Produkte von schweren Gitarrenakkorden zu reduzieren, die für einen kleineren Gitarrenverstärker schwierig sein können.

The +CREAM setting is a bit smoother than the Bluesberry setting (available as a dip switch inside V1), and is now accessible from the outside. 

The XLF eXtended Low Frequency setting allows more low end through, perfect of for bass and 7 string guitars. This acts as in the same way the "Bass" Dip Switch did internally on the V1. Without it engaged, the low end has a gentle roll off just below the low E on a guitar to reduce any sub harmonic products from heavy guitar chords which may be hard going for a smaller guitar amp.

The Lucky Cat delay has basic controls consisting of Time, Mix, Ratio, Repeats, Darken (EQ), and a Modulation toggle. Time is a manual control for the length of the repeats up to 1000ms. Mix controls the volume of the repeats, from fully clean signal to fully wet. Ratio controls the subdivision of the tap tempo with options of quarter note, dotted eighth note, eighth note, and triplets. Repeats controls the amount of repeats you will hear, from one repeat to infinite. The Lucky Cat will not do analog delay oscillation, but will do a musical digital oscillation when the repeats are maxed out and you play with the Time control. The Darken control works as an EQ for the repeats only. When fully clockwise the tone of the delay is the fully digital, unaffected sound. As you turn counter-clockwise the delay will darken in tone giving you an array of delay tones at your fingertips
