Das RockBoard MOD 4 - All-in-One Wireless System Receiver + Patchbay für Pedalboards bietet eine einfach zu realisierende, kabellose Verbindung zwischen deinem Instrument und deinem Pedalboard. Die Patchbay-Sektion wurde entwickelt um Verbindungen und Anschlüsse des Pedalboards von der Unterseite nach außen zu führen, dir einen zentralen Zugangspunkt zu deinem Setup zur Verfügung zu stellen und um deine Kabelwege aufzuräumen und sortieren zu können. Die A, B, C und D TRS Buchsen sind als direkte, durchgängige Verbindungen von der Vorderseite des MOD 4 zu den entsprechenden Buchsen auf der Rückseite verkabelt. Damit kannst du deine Effekt-Kette so einrichten, dass du bei der Vorbereitung auf den Gig lediglich Kabel an der Vorderseite des Boards einstecken musst, anstatt unter dem Board zu hantieren.

The RockBoard MOD 4 - All-in-One Wireless System Receiver + Patchbay for Pedalboards offers an easy-to-use wireless connection between your instrument and your pedalboard, featuring digital wireless technology that delivers incredible audio quality, a simple setup procedure, and reliable use for any gigging musician. The wireless system works in the 2.4 GHz ISM band for unlimited worldwide use and offers a full 20 Hz - 20 kHz frequency range with only 5 ms of latency. The patchbay module is designed to route connections from underneath your pedalboard to its front, giving you a central access point and tidying up your connections. The A, B, C, and D TRS sockets are wiring thru-connections from the front of MOD 4 to the corresponding sockets on the back. This allows you to connect your pedals permanently underneath the board, so you only have to connect cables to and from the front of the board, instead of having to route underneath it when setting it up for a gig.

Das MXR Design Team hat diesen Ansatz weiter gedacht und zwei speziell abgestimmte Verstärker sorgfältig analysiert. Einer der Verstärker wurde für einen 'Super-Scoop' High-Gain Sound modifiziert, der andere für einen satten Mid-Range Crunch angepasst. Die Kombination der beiden Verstärker überzeugte mit einer unglaublich komplexen, harmonischen Bandbreite unterschiedlichster Sounds, Drive-Styles und klanglichen Möglichkeiten. Das MXR FOD Drive bietet eine exakte Emulation der beiden Verstärker in zwei getrennten Kanälen (High Gain und Crunch Gain), die sich separat steuern und je nach Geschmack vermischen lassen. V-3 features the same options as the V-2, so it’s basically the same product in the context of secondary options. However, we played around with the complex opto-system a lot. The main difference between V-3 and V-2 is in the modulation EQ. V-2 modulates just a slight part of the main tone (mid-range focused modulation), while V-3 blends in nicely with the main tone and modulates it without changing the EQ. V-3 has a wider modulation and brings more depth.

Das Ratsbane basiert auf einer berüchtigten Schaltung eines klassischen High Gain Distortion Pedals aus den 1980er Jahren und ist Brians Antwort auf die unzähligen Anfragen, die er erhalten hat, um seine Interpretation dieses beliebten Designs zu bauen.
Der volle, dynamische Bereich und die schiere klangliche Kraft dieser Schaltung machen es zu einem wahren König unter den Verzerrerpedalen.  Dreht man den Distortion-Regler ganz nach unten, erhält man einen tiefen, aber kräftigen Gain-Booster. Dreht man ihn auf, erhält man reiche harmonische Obertöne und eine kehlige, fuzzartige Verzerrung.  Die „ secret sauce“ für diese Schaltung war schon immer der Filterregler.  Wenn du ihn gegen den Uhrzeigersinn drehst, schneidet er direkt durch den Mix und sorgt für einen präzisen, hochfrequenten Attack, der deinen Ton mit absoluter Klarheit aufsteigen lässt.  Drehe ihn im Uhrzeigersinn, um das obere Ende zu filtern und einen warmen, butterweichen und dennoch klaren Ton zu erhalten. Diese natürliche Full-Range-Verzerrung, gemischt mit dem einzigartigen Filterregler, liefert einen klassischen Röhrenamp-Sound, der genre- und generationsübergreifend ist.

Based on an infamous circuit from a classic 1980’s high gain distortion pedal, the Ratsbane is Brian’s answer to the countless requests he has received to build his interpretation of this much-loved design.
The full, dynamic range, and sheer sonic force of this circuit is what makes it a true king amongst distortion pedals.  Turn the distortion control all the way down for a deep but powerful gain booster. Crank it up and you will find rich harmonic overtones and a throaty, fuzz-like distortion.  The “secret sauce” for this circuit has always been the filter control.  Turn it counter-clockwise to cut straight through the mix with precision and high-frequency attack that lets your tone soar with absolute clarity.  Turn it clockwise to filter the top end, for a warm, buttery, yet clear tone. This natural full-range distortion, mixed with its unique filter control, delivers a classic cranked tube-amp sound that crosses genres and generations of music.
