The Woozy

The Skitzy ist ein zweilagiges, moduliertes Reverb-Pedal mit etwas DNA sowohl vom Skitter als auch vom Woozy (daher der Name). Es verfügt über zwei parallele Reverbsignale – Tremverb und Swayverb – jeweils mit eigenem Klangbild und Modulationsoptionen, die sich mischen lassen, um ein breites Spektrum an Sounds, Texturen und Stimmungen zu erzeugen, einschließlich Tremolo-Reverb, pitch-moduliertem Reverb, Ring-Mod-Reverb, Lo-Fi-Bandverwasch-Reverb, Echo-Reverb, resonantem Reverb und oszillierendem Chaos-Reverb.

The Skitzy is a dual layered modulated reverb pedal with some DNA from both the Skitter and the Woozy (thus the name). It has two parallel reverb signals – tremverb and swayverb – each with unique voicing and modulation options that can be blended together to create a broad range of different sounds, textures and feels including tremolo reverb, pitch-modulated reverb, ring mod reverb, lo-fi tape smear reverb, echo reverb, resonant reverb and oscillating mess reverb.

The Skitzy

What the hecking carp is a ‘dunsh’?

The first ‘dunsh’ was an addition I made to the last of the four transistor stages of the Black Russian Big Muff circuit that I used in the Gett and the Bloody Gett. It was a switch to add amp-smashingly loud, noisy and bottom-endy fuzziness.

That single transistor stage made a return in a further modified form as the left hand side of the Canny Fettle Boost a couple of years ago.

I’d been considering bringing back that dunsh sound in some pedal form since we discontinued the Canny Fettle Boost. Initially the dunsh was going to be a key part of the End of Days Fuzz, but as the design progressed, it started looking more and more promising, so I decided to work on it as its own thing with the possibility of becoming a regular line. And so here we are!

The Dunsh
