Das AP1 Compact von Caveman Audio ist ein kompakter Preamp und DI-Pedal für akustische Gitarren, der denselben Vorverstärker-Schaltkreis und Transformator wie das große AP1 nutzt. Es bietet einen Hi-Z-Eingang für Piezo-Tonabnehmer oder interne Mikrofone sowie einen transformatorbalancierten XLR-DI-Ausgang, zusätzlich einen Tuner-Ausgang und eine „Mute“-Funktion zum lautlosen Stimmen. Das Pedal ist für Niederspannung ausgelegt und akzeptiert 9–18 V DC. Das Gehäuse besteht aus verzinktem Stahl und ist für Tour und Bühne robust gebaut, mit Fokus auf sauberen, hochwertig klingenden Akustik-Sound ohne störende Geräusche oder Interferenzen. Durch den kompakten Formfaktor passt es gut auf Pedalboards, ohne die Klangqualität des großen Modells zu beeinträchtigen.

The AP1 Compact from Caveman Audio is a compact acoustic-guitar preamp and DI pedal that delivers the same preamp design and custom transformer as the full-size AP1. It offers a Hi-Z input suitable for piezo pickups or internal microphones and outputs a transformer-balanced XLR DI; it also includes a Tuner output and a mute function for silent tuning. The pedal is designed for low-voltage operation and accepts 9–18 V DC power. The enclosure is road-ready, built from zinc-plated steel, with the focus on clean, high-quality acoustic signal with minimal noise or interference. The compact footprint makes it suitable for pedalboards while preserving the tonal characteristics of the full-size preamp.
