The Cloak began after unearthing some ancient texts containing some forbidden incantations on how to introduce spectral elements within a decaying echo. Ok, we’re embellishing a bit; but the inspiration came from the land of academia and the acoustics department at Stanford, where a treatise on the optimal shimmer effect was penned a handful of years back. In a similar pursuit of perfection, we’ve drawn inspiration from a combination of research and our own endeavors to craft a truly superb take on shimmer reverb. At its core, the Cloak is a “room” style reverb that sounds amazing on its own, but with a twist of the Shimmer knob, rich, harmonically-laden overtones creep in, emphasizing three different orders of harmonics within the trails. A specially-designed low-pass filter steps in and smooths the harmonics out before they get too out of hand and wreck up the signal path.

Carl verbringt regelmäßig einen Teil seiner Freizeit damit, seine alten Platten aus den 60er und 70er Jahren zu hören. Meistens findet er dann eine Platte oder einen Künstler, der ihn zu einem neuen Pedal inspiriert. Manchmal braucht es 2 oder 3 Platten oder Künstler, um eine Idee zu entwickeln! Denk an Jimi Hendrix und die Band of Gypsies, Robin Trower's Bridge of Sighs oder fast alles von David Gilmour, und dann öffne deinen kreativen Geist für den Purple Moon! Es hat ein paar Jahre gedauert, bis Carl zufrieden war, weil es mit sehr kreativen Gitarristen im Hinterkopf entwickelt worden ist. Der Purple Moon ist der einzige analoge True Bypass Vibe mit Fuzz, und er ist deine Eintrittskarte, um die gleichen klassischen Gitarrensounds zu erzeugen, die Carl inspiriert haben. Wie die anderen Pedale der Vintage-Serie verfügt auch das Purple Moon über ein Druckgussgehäuse mit eigener Farbe, Mini-Drehregler für eine einfache Bedienung, hochwertige Schaltungen und hell leuchtende LEDs (wir empfehlen die Verwendung eines hochwertigen, geregelten Netzteils für eine maximale Ansprache).

Carl regularly spends some of his spare time listening to his old records from the 60’s and 70’s. More often than not, he will find a record or artist that will inspire him to create a new pedal. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 records or artists to fully develop an idea! Now, think back to Jimi Hendrix and the Band of Gypsies, Robin Trower’s  Bridge of Sighs, or almost anything by David Gilmour, and then open your creative mind to the Purple Moon!  It has taken a couple years on the bench for Carl to be satisfied because it has been developed with very creative guitarists in mind. The Purple Moon is the only True Bypass, all analog, Vibe with Fuzz, and it is your ticket to recreating the same classic guitar sounds  that inspired Carl. Like the rest of the pedals in the Vintage Series, the Purple Moon features a die-cast case with it’s own special colour, mini knobs for ease of use, high quality switching, bright visible LED’s (we recommend using a quality regulated power supply for maximum response).

Das Red Panda Context 2 ist ein Hall und Reverb Effektpedal, das von den Rack-Mount-Reverbs der 1980er Jahre inspiriert wurde. Das Pedal verfügt über 8 wählbare Reverb-Algorithmen, darunter Room, Hall, Cathedral, Gated Reverb, Reverse Reverb, Plate, Spring und ein granularer Reverb. Die Version 2 bietet Stereo-Ein- und Ausgänge (TRS), USB MIDI, eine frei zuweisbare Expression Pedal Funktion, drei neue Modi, Delay plus Reverb in allen Modi, separate High- und Low-Frequency Damping Regler, Modulation, dynamischen Reverb und Infinite Hold. Mit der Umschalttaste (Shift) lassen sich die alternativen Regler-Funktionen aktivieren. Die High- und Low-Frequency Damping Regler kontrollieren die Dynamik für den Ducking Reverb oder einen Expander für mehr Hall bei lauteren Tönen - natürlich mit regelbarem Threshold und variabler Recovery Time. Über die Fußschalter erhält man direkten Zugriff auf zwei verschiedene Arten von unendlichem Sustain. Ein Preset ist über den linken Fußschalter direkt verfügbar, 127 weitere Presets über MIDI oder den Red Panda Remote 4-Fußschalter. Ein optionales Expression Pedal / CV kann einer beliebigen Kombination von Parametern zugewiesen werden.

The Red Panda Context 2 is a reverb pedal inspired by 1980’s rack mount reverbs. It has 8 algorithms, including room, hall, cathedral, gated reverb, reverse reverb, plate, spring, and a granular reverb. Version 2 adds stereo input/output, USB MIDI, fully assignable expression pedal, 3 new modes, delay plus reverb in all modes, separate high and low frequency damping controls, modulation, dynamic reverb, and infinite hold. When the shift button is held down, the top row of knobs adjust delay parameters. The low and high damping knobs adjust dynamics for ducking reverb or an expander for more reverb on louder notes, with adjustable threshold and recovery time. Holding down the foot switches gives you two different types of infinite sustain. One preset is available on the left footswitch, 127 via MIDI or the Red Panda Remote 4 footswitch. An optional expression pedal / CV can be assigned to any combination of parameters.

We simplified the controls to give you all the control you had with our Carl Martin Classic Flanger but reduced the size so you don’t have to worry about leaving the Axis Flanger on your pedalboard ‘cause you don’t have enough room’.  Complete with a buffered Bypass footswitch for on and off control (indicated by an LED), Speed, Depth, Pre-delay and Feedback controls, the Axis Flanger comes in a machined aluminum case finished in psychedelic purple, and those cool Carl Martin graphics. The Axis Flanger  must be powered by a regulated 9v Power Supply like the Carl Martin DC Factory,  and like all the Carl Martin fx pedals, we use the best parts to make sure you get the best sound!
