Description

Scorpion Deluxe operates as a highly adaptive analog preamp and overdrive pedal designed specifically for bassists. It implements a specialized resonant feedback circuit that preserves the clean punch and dynamics of the instrument without requiring a traditional clean blend knob. The layout incorporates a flexible active equalization section featuring shelving bass and treble controls alongside a semi-parametric midrange band. A dedicated depth control dictates low-frequency clipping, scaling from transparent harmonic grit to thick, saturated distortion. An onboard speaker cabinet simulator mimics modern bass enclosures and can be independently routed to both the standard mono amplifier output and the balanced direct output. The overdrive section uses independent footswitching, letting users engage or disengage the distortion matrix while completely retaining their core equalizer and cabinet filter settings.
