HZM-1.0 is designed to be used mainly with a clean-setting amplifier. The main drive circuit consists of two sub-circuits serially connected, each contributing a different character of sound. When playing a clean amp, achieving rich distortion often requires stacking two pedals, which can be cumbersome onstage. HZM-1.0 solves this by combining both stages into one box, controllable with a single footswitch and unified gain control that moves seamlessly from modest overdrive to full-blown distortion. It delivers ample richness and sustain without sacrificing note definition, and its RANGE knob lets you sweep the peak frequency to emphasize pickup or body-material differences.
