Classic guitar distortion and the most versatile bass tool? Here you go. Tremond begins as distortion based on a famous rodent pedal. Actually it is a mix of early big box and whiteface versions specs, carefully tuned for consistent sound with true vintage vibe with that creamy/juicy mids, tight attack and recognisable 'sag' at high gain settings.

Obviously it's equipped with the iconic LM308n integrated circuit. Additional feature is clipping mode switch to replace stock silicon diodes (classic, high gain sound) with asymmetrical LED + germanium combo (for more crunchy, kinda 'clear breakup' feel, great for lower gain settings or additional boost at high gain), or to omit clipping diodes (to provide huge load of pure op-amp distorted sound).

Tremond (mini)

The Horne is a my take on classic Zonk Machine fuzz unit, similar to Tone Bender MKI's primitive character but with a different approach. Obese low-end of MKI gives place here to lovely midrange push with wah-like bite, perfect for tight riffing and anywhere where punch and clarity is preferred over bass content.

There are many ways to 'tune' these circuits and Horne series presents quite greasy, warm tone with elegant balance of smoothness and bite. There's no aggressive sputter or ice-picking trebles. Transistors are biased for gorgeous, quick and crackling gating with some of 'sonic waste' artifacts at decay. This feature make it perfect for humbucker-equipped guitars, but if natural gating behaviour is what you look for - it will deliver with any pickup. And instead of turning every guitar into a sheer wall of fuzzed-out sound, it does keep the instrument's character really well.

Der Blue Colander Tibetan Quaalude ist ein handgefertigter Boutique-Distortion/Preamp-Effekt, der den klassischen Sunn Model T-Verstärkerklang in Pedalform nachbildet. The Blue Colander Tibetan Quaalude is a hand-made boutique distortion/preamp pedal designed to recreate the classic Sunn Model T amplifier tone in a stompbox format. Crooked Axis ist ein einfaches, aber äußerst vielseitiges Gain-Gerät. Es beginnt als kraftvoller Clean-Booster mit einem Vintage-Touch und aktiven Bass- und Höhen-Reglern, um jeden Verstärker bis zum natürlichen Zerbrechen anzutreiben. Von fettem Overdrive über rohen, groben Distortion-Charakter bis hin zu ohrenbetäubendem Fuzz und lo-fi-dekonstruierenden Klängen liefert es alles.
Sein Kern basiert auf dem klassischen Colorsound Power Boost – einem diskreten Transistor-Boost/Overdrive-Design, das von vielen gelobt wird, die entweder einen kraftvollen Gain-Lieferanten suchen oder einfach seinen ursprünglichen Klang schätzen. Kaum ein Pedal kann einen Röhrenverstärker mit solcher Power, tiefem Bass und glasigem Hochton zerreißen wie dieses.
Die oberen drei Regler entsprechen dem „Stock“-Colorsound-Setup, während der MASTER-Regler es erlaubt, den Original-Schaltkreis für verzerrte Klänge bei niedriger Ausgangslautstärke einzustellen. Die BASS- & TREBLE-Regler sitzen nach dem Drive-Abschnitt, sodass die EQ-Steuerung den endgültigen Klang nach der gewünschten Verzerrungsmenge formt. Der RANGE-Regler ist eine Erweiterung, die tiefere Charakterstimmen ermöglicht – er entfernt tiefe Frequenzen aus dem Drive-Abschnitt, macht die Verzerrung tighter und geschmeidiger und kann sie in clangy, mahlende Geräuschbereiche führen.
Das Herzstück des Crooked Axis ist der BLAST-Schalter, der dem Pedal neue Charaktere und Verzerrungsbereiche verleiht. In Stellung „Off“ erhalten Sie warmen, schweren Overdrive mit extra Bass; voll aufgedreht wird er zu fetter, körniger Verzerrung ohne Zischeln. In Stellung „On“ erleben Sie schmelzendes Fuzz mit blastigem Tiefgang, heftigem Anschlag und blühenden Texturen bei gehaltenen Tönen. Über den gesamten Bereich bleiben Dynamik und Anschlags-Sensibilität erhalten, sodass es sich wie eine Erweiterung des Instruments anfühlt. Zusammen mit den verschiedenen RANGE- und EQ-Einstellungen bietet es ein immenses Klangspektrum – von makellosem Clean bis hin zu purer Zerstörung, von ’70s-Leads bis zu schwerstmöglichen Sludge-Sounds auf Gitarre, Bariton oder tief gestimmtem Bass.
Zudem gibt es die mittlere BLAST-Position: weder ganz an noch aus. In den meisten DRIVE-Bereichen liefert sie schlaffen, lockeren Overdrive mit geringerem Gain, jedoch mit noch fetterem Klang als BLAST „On“, und bei voll aufgedrehtem DRIVE entsteht ein brassy, kehliges Fuzz mit lo-fi-Texturen und zufälligen Oktav-Down-Effekten.
Original Colorsound Power Boost-Pedale wurden mit zwei 9 V-Batterien betrieben; der Crooked Axis benötigt ein 9 V DC-Netzteil und nutzt einen integrierten Spannungsverdoppler für 18 V-Betrieb. Batteriebetrieb ist nicht möglich.

Crooked Axis is a simple yet super versatile, multipurpose gain device. Starting as a powerful clean booster with vintage flavoured feel and active bass & treble controls to drive any amplifier to natural break-up, it takes your tone through fat overdrive or raw, rugged, gritty distortion, into ear-melting fuzz territory and lo-fi deconstructed sounds.
Its core is based on the classic Colorsound Power Boost – a discrete transistor boost/overdrive design, praised by many seeking either a powerful gain provider or just for its original sound signature. Not many pedals can smash a tube amp with such power, deep bass and glassy treble as this one.
Top three knobs represent “stock” Colorsound setup, while the MASTER knob lets the original circuit be set for distorted sounds at low output volume. BASS & TREBLE knobs are arranged after the drive section, so the EQ shapes the final tone after the desired amount of drive is achieved. The RANGE knob is an extension to allow deeper voicing of the dirt character – it removes low frequencies from the drive section, making distortion tighter and smoother, and can bring it to clangy, grinding noise regions.
The heart of Crooked Axis is the BLAST switch, which grants the pedal a new character and distortion range. In the BLAST-off position you get a warm, heavy overdrive with extra bass; cranked up it turns into fat, grainy distortion without sizzle. In the BLAST-on position you experience melting fuzz with blasting low-end, bursting attack and blooming textures during sustained notes. Throughout the whole range it keeps dynamics and attack sensitivity, feeling like an extension of the instrument. Together with various RANGE and EQ settings, this setup provides a huge palette of tones – from pristine clean to utter destruction, from ’70s leads to the heaviest sludge sounds on guitar, baritone or down-tuned bass.
There’s also the BLAST switch’s middle position: neither fully on nor off. Across most of the DRIVE knob range it delivers saggy, loose overdrive with lower gain but an even fatter tone than BLAST-on, and at maximum DRIVE yields a brass-like, throaty fuzz with lo-fi textures and random octave-down effects.
Original Colorsound Power Boost pedals were powered by two 9 V batteries; Crooked Axis requires a 9 V DC supply and uses an internal voltage-doubler circuit for 18 V operation. No battery operation is possible.
