The Blue Colander Tibetan Quaalude is a hand-made boutique distortion/preamp pedal designed to recreate the classic Sunn Model T amplifier tone in a stompbox format. Its circuit uses carefully selected JFET transistors and cascaded gain stages to deliver a wide range of tones, from rich clean boost and crunchy overdrive to massive, amp-like distortion. Controls include independent boost settings, dual channels (Normal/Brite), a 3-band interactive EQ (Bass/Mid/Treble), separate preamp and master volume controls, and internal switches for high-gain boost and low-end voicing — making it capable of functioning as a stand-alone drive, preamp, or pedalboard platform with serious output volume. No battery operation is supported; it runs from a standard 9 V DC power supply.
