Our DB200 Mini DI Box converts any high-impedance 1/4" source to a low-impedance XLR signal ready to send via a long cable run to a mixer or PA system. A cab simulator switch enables sending the input signal through an emulated amp directly to a mixer without using a physical amp. There's a switch for either +20 dB of gain to boost weak signals or a -20 dB pad to prevent clipping from louder sources. A ground-lift switch defeats ground-loop hum. When not using the DI, the true-bypass switch eliminates the circuitry of the pedal from the signal path. Balanced and unbalanced outputs provide the option to send the signal to an amp, a mixer, or both. This pedal includes hook-and-loop strips for convenient pedalboard mounting. Its heavy-duty metal enclosure protects the internal components and ensures reliable performance.

The Black Cat OD-1 (a.k.a. Freddie Fuzz) is an original design Fred created based on the unique properties of the OP275, a dual operational amplifier chip made by Analog Devices. The OP275 is a high-quality op-amp that gives a distinctive linear output waveform. The Black Cat OD-1 can go from clean, to slightly crunchy, to all-out saturated distortion.

It is unique in that it is extremely sensitive to the guitar; it responds to the player’s pick attack, and like a good Fuzz Face, it cleans up well when you roll back the volume on the guitar. The Black Cat OD-1 has been used by Scott Henderson, Steve Lukather, Beck, Lyle Workman, Kyle Cook (Matchbox Twenty), and many others.

Stereo Vibe

The Black Cat OD-Fuzz Hybrid is a versatile, two-channel distortion/fuzz box that combines the Black Cat OD-1 with a Germanium/Silicon Hybrid Fuzz Face in one pedal. Each channel of the OD-Fuzz has its own set of controls with separate LEDs for each side. The two channels can be used separately or together in combination. Each effect has its own distinct sound, but the blend of both channels together will yield an incredibly wide range of tonal possibilities, from slightly overdriven to full-blown fuzz. The controls become highly interactive when both effects are engaged.
