The BOSS XS-1 Poly Shifter is a compact pitch-shifting pedal that uses advanced polyphonic technology to deliver precise, glitch-free retuning for both guitar and bass. It offers a total shift range of ± seven semitones plus ± three octaves, covering everything from drop tunings to instant capo effects and octave layers. The straightforward interface features a Balance knob to blend the dry and effect signals, a Shift knob for easy pitch selection, and flexible control options via external footswitches or an expression pedal. Powered by 24-bit converters and Adaptive Focus method, it ensures high-fidelity pitch shifting while preserving the instrument's natural tone and character, even with complex chords.
