The Boss GX-1B (marketed as the GT-1B/“GX-1B” style bass effects processor) is a compact, all-in-one multi-effects and amp modelling floor unit designed for electric bass. It uses BOSS’s advanced effect and amp modelling engine calibrated for bass frequencies, providing 16 bass amp types and over 130 bass-focused effects, with up to eight simultaneous effect blocks for rich, custom rigs. A color display with dedicated category buttons and three assignable footswitches make navigation intuitive, and an integrated expression pedal with toe switch allows realtime performance control. The unit supports Bluetooth audio for wireless jamming and editing, USB-C audio interface for recording and computer integration with the BOSS Tone Studio app, and flexible power via AA batteries, mains adapter, or USB power — making it suitable for practice, recording, and live performance on bass.
