The Syntax Error XP is a compact, multi-mode digital lo-fi and glitch pedal that represents a strategic evolution of Alexander Pedals' "Leap Series" platform. It features eight distinct sound engines—Stretch, Air, Ring, Cube, Freq, Wave, Glitch Shift, and Dynamic—designed to emulate the chaotic audio artifacts of early arcade games and dial-up era digital failure. The XP version utilizes a high-powered FXCore DSP engine, offering eight times the processing power of previous Neo Series units, alongside expanded stereo I/O and improved audio headroom. Notable features include an assignable LFO for parameter modulation, 32 onboard presets, and a built-in "Auto-Ramping" function that allows for hands-free expression sweeps without an external pedal. Its interface includes a multi-function "MultiJack" for MIDI, expression, or remote footswitch control.
