The Cerulean Amp Overdrive is an updated version of the Marshall Bluesbreaker pedal, in production from 1991 to 1999. A legend in its own right, it was also the source circuit for a number of expensive boutique pedals, most notably the Analogman King of Tone, which is two Bluesbreakers in the same box with a few modifications.

In 1995, Marshall moved production from England to Korea, and around this time they made some tweaks to the circuit, increasing the gain and reducing the bass. The Cerulean project has a switch to go between both modes so you can hear the differences. It also borrows the expanded clipping options from the King of Tone, allowing you to select either soft clipping (stock), hard clipping, or no clipping (boost mode).

The Azure Analog Chorus is based on the BOSS® CE-2, first released in 1979 and generally considered to be one of the best chorus pedals ever made. With only two knobs, it’s simple to operate, but it doesn’t take long to understand the wide range of sounds contained inside.

Der Andromeda Natural Overdrive ist eine Nachbildung des Nobels ODR-1, eines etwas obskuren Pedals aus Deutschland, das unter Studiomusikern in Nashville als „Geheimwaffe“ gilt.

Die überwältigende Beschwerde über den ODR-1 ist, dass er viel zu viel Bass hat, ohne dass man ihn herausdrehen kann. Zu diesem Zweck enthält der Andromeda einen variablen Bassregler, der vom Timmy und Zendrive inspiriert wurde. Die Standardtöne sind immer noch da, wenn der Regler ganz aufgedreht ist, aber jetzt haben Sie die Möglichkeit, ihn zurückzudrehen.

The Andromeda Natural Overdrive is a recreation of the Nobels ODR-1, a somewhat obscure pedal from Germany that nonetheless is considered a “secret weapon” among Nashville studio musicians.

The overwhelming complaint of the ODR-1 is that it has way too much bass with no way to dial it out. To that end, the Andromeda incorporates a variable bass control inspired by the Timmy and Zendrive. The stock tones are still there with the knob all the way up, but now you have the option to dial it back.

Andromeda

Das Vector Ambient Delay ist ein einfaches Delay-Projekt, das auf dem Mad Professor Deep Blue Delay basiert und mit einigen Modifikationen und Verbesserungen versehen wurde.

Die Schaltung basiert auf dem PT2399 Delay-Chip. Obwohl der PT2399 technisch gesehen digital ist, hat er nicht die sterilen Klangeigenschaften, die man mit modernen digitalen Delays assoziiert, sondern ist stattdessen viel wärmer und analoger, mit ähnlichen Eigenschaften wie ein Bandverzögerungsgerät. Es eignet sich gleichermaßen für kurze Slapback-Effekte oder längere rhythmische Wiederholungen.

Die endgültige Entscheidung liegt bei Ihnen, aber selbst die meisten Analog-Puristen sind voll des Lobes über diese Schaltung. Da die Gesamtkomplexität viel geringer ist und die Bauteile weitaus billiger sind als bei einem BBD-basierten Delay, sind Sie es sich selbst schuldig, diese Schaltung auszuprobieren, bevor Sie sich für ein echtes analoges Delay entscheiden!

The Vector Ambient Delay is an easy delay project based on the Mad Professor Deep Blue Delay with a few modifications and improvements added.

The circuit is based around the PT2399 delay chip. While the PT2399 is technically digital, it doesn’t have the sterile sound characteristics associated with modern digital delays, but is instead much warmer and analog-voiced, with similar characteristics to a tape delay unit. It’s equally suited for short slapback effects or longer rhythmic repeats.

Your ears can be the final judge, but even most analog purists give high praise to this circuit. With the overall complexity being much lower and the cost of parts being far cheaper than a BBD-based delay, you owe it to yourself to try this one before jumping straight into a true analog delay!
