Description
This guitar effects pedal functions as a highly versatile overdrive and distortion unit, operating as the "MMHMM" 20th Anniversary commemorative edition of the builder's flagship circuit. Sonically rooted in the vintage "Whiteface" ProCo RAT topology, the design incorporates significant modifications aimed at delivering enhanced harmonic clarity and an expanded low-gain spectrum. The engineering architecture features two individual internal stages comprising a hard-clipping distortion network alongside a dedicated preamp boost. An integrated internal charge pump steps the incoming voltage up to 18V, substantially broadening overall clean headroom and dynamic tracking sensitivity. Developed in collaboration with Jon Ashley of Bondi Effects, the circuit delivers a unique midrange emphasis while maintaining tracking definition during complex chord voicings.Media
