Finally is my basic take on a tube D.I. It takes your unbalanced guitar input and feeds it through a high-voltage tube preamp then out through a high-end DI transformer and out into a balanced XLR output. You also have a 1/4″ output up top, and you can switch between dry passthrough from the input or affected output from the preamp for the 1/4″ output.

Venus Z is the clean channel of Venus X. It's a punchy, modern, all-clean tube preamp based on the sounds of Gallien Kruger but with some tube goodness. The boost channel was removed, the cabsim was replaced by a switchable HPF, the high voltage was raised from 235V to 350V, and the LBA transformer in the D.I. was replaced by an Unagi transformer. An independent volume control was added for the XLR output like on the Finally v2, and there are also independent attenuation trimmers inside the pedal to adjust the max output of the 1/4" and the XLR outputs.

Venus Z

The Underground Accelerator is the successor to both Particle Accelerator and London Underground.

Neither were perfect, but both had strengths that the other didn’t so, Underground Accelerator takes the best of both into one glorious preamp. It follows the same general structure of the London Underground, letting it get a little more grit than Particle Accelerator, but still keeping the deep low end that London Underground lacked.

It sounds great as a clean boost or mild overdrive on guitar, but bass is where it really sings, providing the rich bottom end missing in so many bass pedals.

*The newest version of the Underground Accelerator has an EQ bypass switch. Note that the main purpose of the EQ Bypass is to boost the gain of the pedal, and bypassing the EQ will produce approximately +30dB more gain. Passive EQs like the one used in Underground Accelerator are inherently lossy, so the bypass was added for those that want more gain and don’t need the use of the EQ. If you simply want a flat response without the gain boost, you can set Treble and Bass to minimum and Mids to maximum.

Undeground Accelerator

Dreamcatcher is a two-channel preamp designed to be the perfect flexible option for both bass and guitar. The clean (blue) channel is based on the Underground Accelerator, an excellent warm clean tone that can be pushed to get a little bit of drive. The drive channel (red) is a completely new design, and is capable of going everywhere from moderate crunch to full-blown distortion and everything in between. Each channel has an independent set of controls for flexibility and channel status LEDs so you know which channel is active even when the pedal is bypassed.

Dreamcatcher

Black Eye II is a medium-high gain preamp/distortion based on the Soldano Supercharger GTO. A few changes have been made, most notably that the single-knob tone control was swapped in favor of a Baxandall tonestack, and a Bass Boost switch was added. The bass boost isn’t a huge drastic change, but it opens up the low end frequency response to make the pedal more suitable for use on bass. With the gain all the way down you get an almost-clean, or fully dimes you can get monstrously aggressive, face-melting distortion.
