What exactly does the Ultrawave Multiband Bass Processor do? Initially, the incoming bass signal is divided into different frequency bands. You can choose between 1, 2, 3, 4, 8 or 10 bands specially chosen for the bass. There are a total of 37 different options for combining different frequencies. In the next step, the different frequencies can be assigned different effects. On board are 44 different distortion/overdrive/fuzz effects, a dual-channel compressor, a multi-band tremolo and a graphic 8-band EQ. Everything is controlled via a Neuro Desktop Editor (Mac and Windows) or the mobile app (iOS and Android). The sounds are loaded onto the pedal via USB and can be called up there as presets and further processed with the controls.

To develop such a complex pedal requires a lot of know-how. The American company Source Audio, founded in 2005, has more than enough of them. Their innovative products have been setting the standards in the field of digital effects for years! It is not without reason that greats like David Gilmour, U2, David Bowie, John Mayer, Aerosmith, Phish, King Crimson, My Morning Jacket, The Cure and Victor Wooten trust the pedals of the Californians.

Der JHS Pedals Overdrive Preamp ist eine originalgetreue Nachbildung der ersten Version ("Big Box V1") von DODs beliebtestem Pedal, dem Overdrive / Preamp (250). Die Regelmöglichkeiten sind denkbar einfach: Der Level-Regler bestimmt den Output der Schaltung und bietet je nach Setting einen Boost oder Cut des Signals. Der Level-Regler wurde im Vergleich zum Original modifiziert (bzw. korrigiert), wodurch die Version von JHS Pedals deutlich mehr Volume bietet. Der Gain-Regler kontrolliert die Verstärkung innerhalb der Overdrive-Sektion. Höhere Settings bringen den Op-Amp und das Hard Clipping in die Sättigung und erzeugen so ein stärkeres Clipping und einen satten Drive-Sound. Der Slide-Schalter ist eine spezielle Erweiterung, die es beim ursprünglichen DOD 250 so nicht gab. Bei der Recherche zu den ersten Versionen des 250 Pedals fand JHS Pedals eine Version, die ein völlig anderes Clipping Arrangement nutze - also entschied man sich einfach beide Versionen für den Overdrive Preamp zu nutzen, damit Musiker die klanglichen Variationen selber entdecken können. Der JHS Pedals Overdrive Preamp bietet insgesamt mehr Gain / Grit und mehr Bässe und Mitten als die späteren Versionen des DOD 250.

The JHS Pedals Overdrive Preamp is a faithful replication of the first version ("Big Box V1") of DOD's most loved pedal, the Overdrive / Preamp (250). The controls are simple. The Level control adjusts the overall output of the circuit and lets you cut or boost the signal. The Level control of this version has been modified (corrected) from the original wiring, giving this pedal much more volume on tap. The Gain control adjusts the amount of gain inside the overdrive circuit. Turning up the Gain control creates more clipping as it pushes the op-amp and hard clipping into overdrive. JHS Pedals also added a slider switch, which wasn't included with the original DOD 250. While researching the original pedal, JHS Pedals acquired a second early big-box unit which used a completely different clipping arrangement, so they decided to offer this switch so that you could explore these two variations for yourself. The JHS Pedals Overdrive Preamp features more gain / grit overall and more unique low / mids than the later versions of the DOD 250.

Ich liebe gute Fuzz-Pedale. Sie verändern den Gitarrensound auf ihre ganz eigene Art und Weise. Ein Fuzz Face hat diesen satten Lead-Sound, der auf jede Berührung reagiert. Die Tone-Bender-Schaltung ging (buchstäblich) noch einen Schritt weiter und sorgte für noch mehr Biss. Die Schaltung im „Big Muff“-Stil ist ein legendärer Nachfolger beider. Das Wampler Velvet Fuzz war einer meiner ersten Versuche mit einer verbesserten Fuzz-Schaltung, allerdings mit einem besonderen Twist: Es wurde so konzipiert, dass es für Leute, die mit herkömmlichen Fuzz-Pedalen nicht zurechtkamen, einfach einzustellen ist.

I love a good fuzz pedal. There’s just something about how they transform your guitar's sound, and each one does it in its own way. A Fuzz Face has that fat lead tone that responds to every touch. The Tone Bender circuit took things a stage further (literally) and added even more grunt. The “Big Muff” style circuit is a legendary successor to both of these. The Wampler Velvet Fuzz was one of my early takes on an improved fuzz circuit but with a twist - it was designed to be easy to dial in for folk who just didn’t get on with regular fuzz pedals.

Wir haben die Grundtöne eines sehr berühmten Wampler-Pedals genommen (eines, das die Eigenschaften eines berühmten gestackten, EL34-betriebenen Verstärkers hat) und beschlossen, dass dies die beste Grundlage ist, um das perfekte Fuzz zu bauen und es in einem Gerät zu liefern, das so gut und kraftvoll klingt, wie es sich anfühlt.

Mit zwei völlig unterschiedlichen Clipping-Optionen (nicht nur die einfache Silizium- oder Germanium-Option wie bei den meisten anderen) kannst du diese klassischen großen Fuzz-Sounds erreichen, die untenrum massiv komprimiert werden, oder du kannst sie straffen und sie eher wie eine Distortion reagieren lassen. Auf diese Weise erhält man alle Töne, ohne dass es zu Nebeneffekten kommt. Einige Leute sagen, es klingt wie Fuzz, aber fühlt sich an wie Distortion, also ja, du KANNST das Beste aus beiden Welten haben.

We took the base tones from a very famous Wampler Pedal (one that has the characteristics of a famous stacked, EL34 driven, amp) and decided this was the best foundation to build the perfect fuzz and deliver it in a unit that sounds as good as it feels powerful.

With two completely different clipping options (not just the basic silicon or germanium option like most) you can achieve those classic fuzz big tones that compresses massively across the bottom or you can tighten them up and have it respond more like a distortion. With this you get all of the tone with none of the side effects. Some people say it sounds like a fuzz but feels like a distortion, so yes, you CAN have the best of both worlds.

The Phenom Distortion is a dynamic distortion pedal which uses JFET based clipping instead of Op-amp and Diode based clipping and is loosely based on the legendary “5150” style tones.  The fets are driven much in the same way that tubes can be cranked to overdrive an Amplifier into a distorted sound courtesy of a unique Brian Wampler circuit design. Das One Control Stone Bramble Overdrive ist ein weiteres Overdrive Pedal, das vom ursprünglichen und erfolgreichen Strawberry Red Overdrive von One Control abgeleitet wurde. Das Stone Bramble erweitert das ursprüngliche Design um etwas mehr Glanz und Schimmer sowie eine schaltbare Mid-Boost-Funktion, die die oberen Mitten genau richtig betonen kann. Ohne den Mid-Boost erzeugt das Pedal einen 'schneidenderen' und 'kantigeren' Overdrive-Sound.

The One Control Stone Bramble Overdrive is another 'flavor' that has descended from the original and successful Strawberry Red Overdrive pedal from One Control. The GE1000, built with a futuristic and sleek “Walking Star” design, builds upon past GE products, offering an even larger range of guitar processing effects, preamps, amp simulators, and features than previous entries. 
The GE1000 comes preloaded with an impressive bank of guitar effects and amp simulations, but this is augmented further through MNRS GE Cloud support. MOOER’s MNRS files consist of IR samples from real amplifiers, facilitating authentic feeling tones that can be downloaded, uploaded, and shared via MOOER’s ‘GE Cloud’ app for free. The GE1000 also supports third-party IR files of up to 2048 sample points, enabling further expansion of the pedal's portfolio of amp simulators.
Further adding to the GE1000’s impressive amplification and tone features, the GE1000 includes a cutting-edge AI-driven automatic equalizer, a first for MOOER. This automatically adjusts a 5-band EQ based on the user's playing and music style choice, providing further possibilities for creativity whilst still providing the flexibility of a manual-controlled EQ interface.
