Platzsparen muss nicht heißen auf Funktionalität zu verzichten – das DVP Volume (X) Pedal macht alles das, was sein großer Bruder das DVP3 kann – bei halber Größe und genauso robust gebaut im leichten Alu-Gehäuse. Wie das DVP3 hat es auch die rutschfeste Pedaloberfläche und den patentierten Low-Friction-Band-Drive, der für einen sanften und gleichmäßigen Regelweg und zuverlässige Performance sorgt. Für maximalen Komfort ist die Leichtgängigkeit des Pedals vollkommen einstellbar.

Der AUX Ausgang vereint Tuner und Expression Funktion in einer Buchse, die per internem Schalter festgelegt werden kann. Über interne Trim-Potis kann das Minimum-Volumen des Pedals eingestellt werden und wenn du willst, kannst du auch die Funktionsrichtung umkehren – ein weiterer interner Schalter macht’s möglich.

If you want to reverse the function of the heel-down and toe-down positions, the DVP4 has another internal switch that allows you to do so.

Delivering vintage analog modulation across a folded-steel big-box chassis, the multi-effect processor combines analog tremolo, vibrato, phaser, and modulated wah circuits. Signal character is driven by dedicated optocoupler and analog filtering architectures that produce warm, organic sweep movement. Modulation intensity and speed are dialed in using continuous Range and Rate potentiometers alongside a rotary four-position Mode selector switch. Spatial sweeps range from pulsating volume chops and lush pitch vibrato to resonant vocal sweeps and classic phasing. Pure instrument dynamics are preserved via mechanical true bypass switching when the modulation path is deactivated.

In the past couple of years, Chinese pedal maker NUX has been releasing some not too subtle (and incredibly affordable) clones of several best-selling classic stompboxes under the rather misleadingly named “Reissue Series” (uhm, reissues of pedals… made by other builders?). Nothing wrong with cloning (almost everyone does it) we are just a little perplexed by the use of the “reissue” word.

Even just the color of their Analog Delay betrays the influence of classic Ibanez / Maxon three-knob Bucket Brigade Device delays from the ’80s. That’s exactly what you get with this pedal: the warm repeats of the 3205 and 3102 BBD chips, for just under $60!

You can judge from the videos below if the Nux Analog Delay sounds as good as the units that inspired it. We added this pedal to our list of the Best Analog Delay Pedals.
