Das RockBoard MOD 4 - All-in-One Wireless System Receiver + Patchbay für Pedalboards bietet eine einfach zu realisierende, kabellose Verbindung zwischen deinem Instrument und deinem Pedalboard. Die Patchbay-Sektion wurde entwickelt um Verbindungen und Anschlüsse des Pedalboards von der Unterseite nach außen zu führen, dir einen zentralen Zugangspunkt zu deinem Setup zur Verfügung zu stellen und um deine Kabelwege aufzuräumen und sortieren zu können. Die A, B, C und D TRS Buchsen sind als direkte, durchgängige Verbindungen von der Vorderseite des MOD 4 zu den entsprechenden Buchsen auf der Rückseite verkabelt. Damit kannst du deine Effekt-Kette so einrichten, dass du bei der Vorbereitung auf den Gig lediglich Kabel an der Vorderseite des Boards einstecken musst, anstatt unter dem Board zu hantieren.

The wireless system works in the 2.4 GHz ISM band for unlimited worldwide use and offers a full 20 Hz - 20 kHz frequency range with only 5 ms of latency. The patchbay module is designed to route connections from underneath your pedalboard to its front, giving you a central access point and tidying up your connections. The A, B, C, and D TRS sockets are wiring thru-connections from the front of MOD 4 to the corresponding sockets on the back. This allows you to connect your pedals permanently underneath the board, so you only have to connect cables to and from the front of the board, instead of having to route underneath it when setting it up for a gig.

Der AUX Ausgang vereint Tuner und Expression Funktion in einer Buchse, die per internem Schalter festgelegt werden kann. Über interne Trim-Potis kann das Minimum-Volumen des Pedals eingestellt werden und wenn du willst, kannst du auch die Funktionsrichtung umkehren – ein weiterer interner Schalter macht’s möglich.

If you want to reverse the function of the heel-down and toe-down positions, the DVP4 has another internal switch that allows you to do so.

The Violet Distortion is a new take on distortion/overdrive brought to you from the collaborative minds of Josh Scott and highly influential Brazilian guitarist Lari Basilio! Using this pedal is like adding a new and ultra-flexible distortion channel to your favorite clean amplifier. The unique three-band EQ sets the Violet apart from other popular JHS distortion pedals. JHS placed the Midrange control before the distortion circuit as a powerful pre-amp distortion shaping tool. This single design choice allows the Violet to achieve hundreds of tones, from overdrive to full-on modern distortion. Treble and Bass controls are located in a more traditional position after the distortion circuit, offering familiar but extremely flexible post-distortion shaping you’re accustomed to.

Diese Technik stellt den natürlichen Anschlags-Attack wieder her und bewahrt Dynamik selbst bei extremem Sustain. Wenn der Grit-Schaltkreis aktiviert ist, umgeht der Blend-Regler automatisch die Kompromisse der Originaleinheit und verleiht deinem Sound eine farbenfrohe Verzerrung in Germanium- oder Silizium-Modus. Dieses nichtlineare Dioden-Clipping reicht von subtiler Overdrive bis zu überquellender Verzerrung – ganz ohne unerwünschtes Feedback. Ein Treble-Regler direkt vor dem Master Volume gewährt ±6 dB bei 2 kHz zur Feinabstimmung des Frequenzgangs. Featuring a refined implementation of the overdrive circuit first heard in the limited-edition Gold version of this iconic compressor pedal, the unique germanium distortion found in the Philosopher's Tone 2 delivers smooth top end and rich midrange response, tailored to perfectly match the characteristics of the optical sustainer driving it. In addition to Volume and Sustain controls, the Philosopher’s Tone 2 features a parallel clean Blend knob that allows musicians to mix their instrument’s original tone with the compressor/sustainer effect when the Grit circuit is bypassed. This mixing technique restores natural pick-attack and allows clean settings with extreme sustain to remain dynamic and musical. When the Grit circuit is engaged, the Blend knob is automatically bypassed, circumventing the compromises of the original unit and imparting a colorful distortion to your sound in both Germanium and Silicon modes. This nonlinear diode-clipping can range from subtle overdrive to overflowing distortion, all without unwanted feedback. A Treble control located just before the master Volume provides 6db of cut or boost at 2kHz for fine-tuning the frequency response of the effect. The Philosopher’s Tone 2 features true-bypass switching and internal 18V power rails for maximum clean headroom that is ideal for use with hot pickups, active bass, synthesizers and other line-level sources.
