At the heart of Janek’s rig lies the brooding low-end force of RhPf’s Basilisk and the dynamic, touch-sensitive versatility of the Mosferatwo — a combo tailored to the sludgy stomp and riffy swagger of Gentle Beast. From earthquaking doom passages to psychedelic tremble-and-howl sections, his board is designed for maximum feel and narrative control.

The Carl Martin Octa-Switch II anchors the setup for quick live changes, while staples like the Big Muff Pi, Strymon blueSky, and Carbon Copy add saturated filth, cavernous reverb, and analog warmth. A Drone Rainger sits up top for chaotic, glitched-out textures — a clear nod to the band’s more experimental side.

Modulation comes courtesy of an MXR Phase 90 and Ibanez Weeping Demon wah, with additional character from a Pharaoh fuzz and a unique high-headroom overdrive/tone shaper that hints at Janek’s deep commitment to tonal sculpting. Expect seismic fuzz, sculpted mid scoops, and sudden eruptions of beautifully unhinged noise.

Der OctaSwitch MKII ist ein 8-fach Looper/Switcher, bei die Effektpedale in die acht Effekt-Loops auf der Rückseite dieser Einheit (alle mit True-Bypass, widerstandsfrei und mit Gold-Relais, damit alle Pedale, sowohl neue als auch alte, verwendet werden können). Durch An- und Ausstellen der nummerierten Schalter in jeder der acht DIP Bank Switches stellt man ein, welche Effekte man simultan je Bank nutzen möchte. Eine blaue LED für jeden Effekt-Loop und jede Bank. Der Octa-Switch II verfügt jedoch noch über eine Reihe weiterer Features! Der neunte Fußschalter auf der Linken Seite ist ein Bypass-Switch, der es erlaubt alle acht Pedale komplett aus der Signalkette zu nehmen und den unbeeinflussten Klang direkt an den Verstärker zu senden. Es gibt außerdem zwei externe Schaltbuchsen, welche die Verwendung von zwei Verstärkern erlauben und/oder das Umschalten der Kanäle auf diesen Amps. Der OctaSwitch bietet einen Mono Eingang (bei Bedarf gebuffert) und einen Stereo Ausgang.

The OctaSwitch MKII is an 8-loop switcher/looper that allows you to connect effect pedals to its eight effect loops on the back of the unit. All loops feature true bypass, are resistance-free, and use gold-plated relays, making them compatible with both modern and vintage pedals. By toggling the numbered switches in each of the eight DIP bank switches, you can determine which effects are activated simultaneously in each bank. A blue LED indicates the status of each effect loop and bank.

However, the OctaSwitch II offers even more features! The ninth footswitch on the left side is a bypass switch that allows you to completely remove all eight pedals from the signal chain, sending the unprocessed signal directly to the amplifier. Additionally, there are two external switching jacks that enable the use of two amplifiers and/or channel switching on these amps. The OctaSwitch provides a mono input (which can be buffered if needed) and a stereo output.

For musicians who love their guitar and amp’s tone. The Pharaoh pedal, while its roots and DNA are classic fuzz, has a few twists. The Pharaoh has a wide range of clipping and tonal options. From a cleanish boost, to a light OD, all the way to saturated fuzz. It sounds clear and natural, strong and bold. Your guitar sound isn’t high jacked, and your amp’s tone is not destroyed. The Pharaoh utilizes a dual tone control. The tone circuit is designed to suffer little volume loss, and give a natural sound. Your guitar and amp still sound like your guitar and amp. No drastic cuts or boosts. The tone section allows your amp to do the heavy lifting.

The Pharaoh starts with a hi/lo input switch, not unlike that of your favorite tube amp. Lo for more headroom/less clipping. Hi for less headroom/more clipping. A standard fuzz knob. A full range tone control with the addition of a high end compensation knob to allow you to replenish the highs cut by the tone control when boosting lows. The diode selector switch allows for different modes of clipping. Silicon Diodes for a raspy distorted sound, Diodes out for more volume /headroom and less clipping. Asymmetrical Germanium clipping diodes give a warm, tubey old school sound.

The two switches can take the Pharaoh from a clean/ fat boost to light OD which cleans up well with your guitar’s volume knob, all the way to hairy open fuzz. The Pharaoh utilizes signal caps large enough to pass all frequencies through, uncut. Again, a natural sound. This is especially important for bass player; you’ll get huge fuzz with NO low-end loss, and without squishy flubby tones.

Oft kopiert aber nie erreicht, rangiert das schwer zu findende, originale, Phase 90 bei den Sammlern alter Bodentreter ganz weit oben. Das Original - seit der Gründung der Firma Dunlop bis in die späten 70er Jahre erhältlich – definierte den klassischen Phase Shifter Sound und war in allen Musikstilen zu hören, egal ob Hard Rock, Jazz-Fusion oder Funk-Hits. Der nach dem Kultpedal der Firma designte Phaser kommt puritanisch mit einem Regler aus, über den der Phaser-Speed einstellbar ist. Eine rote LED über dem stabilen Fußschalter zeigt den Schaltstatus an. Das massive Spritzgußgehäuse verfügt über jeweils 1/4" Klinke In- und Out-Eingänge. Betrieben wird der Kulttreter mit einer 9V Batterie, die in einem leicht zugänglichen Batteriefach auf der Unterseite Platz findet. Es ist erhältlich in der ursprünglichen orangenen Farbe.
