Le Bon - Spring Tank

We all know about tape echoes, the first delay technology providing organic and slightly distorted repeats.
This particular tone is due to two elements: the magnetic tape and all the imperfections it implies, but also the internal preamp.
Many musicians, such as Eric Johnson, have used their tape echoes in a different way, using the preamp alone, without the echo, as a dirty boost
to overload their amps and make them saturate while bringing a unique character.

The Tape Preamp was inspired by the JFET preamp circuit of a popular tape echo from the 70’s, known for its unique delay and warm preamp.
Of course, we couldn’t stop there, and we redesigned the circuit in our own way to offer a whole new range of tones,
while keeping the original character of the effect. All of this without the need for a real tape echo.

Tape Preamp

Eines Tages rief uns Julien Bitoun an, weil sein Bitoun Fuzz nicht funktionierte! Nun ja... wir haben das Problem natürlich untersucht. Als wir das pedal öffneten, entdeckten wir, dass alle Trimmpotis auf 11 standen. Diese mysteriöse und unlogische Einstellung hat uns tatsächlich verblüfft! Der Sound hatte kein Sustain, er klang wie das Brüllen eines Bären, neu gemastert von einem Germanium Fuzz.
Wir haben das Geräuschproblem behoben und fanden es interessant, eine neue Version mit diesem sound zu veröffentlichen.

Da der Sound wirklich speziell und anders ist, haben wir uns entschlossen, eine kleine Auflage von diesem Pedal zu machen (50 Stück auf der ganzen Welt). und unseren großen Fans die Möglichkeit zu geben, es ganz exklusiv zu entdecken!

one day, julien bitoun called us because his bitoun fuzz didn’t work! well… we investigated that issue of course.
when we opened the pedal, we discovered that all the trimpots were close to 11.
in fact this mysterious and illogical setting astonished us! the sound had no sustain, it sounded like the cry of a bear, re-masterized by a germanium fuzz.
we’ve corrected the noise issue and found interesting to release a new version with this sound.

this time it is possible to dial with the fuzz knobs because the bias delicately embrasse all the noise glitch and smooth the final sound rendering.
so you can push both of them to the maximum and keep control over your tone.

as the sound is really special and different, we decided to launch a small run of this pedal (50 pieces for world only). and let our big fans the opportunity to discover it in exclusivity !

Crankled Bitoun Fuzz

We no longer need to introduce this famous circular fuzz pedal, which produced the iconic sound of many guitarists in the 60’s.
With its two volume and gain controls forming a smiling face, it offers a unique sound going from a creamy and dynamic fuzz to a powerful and punchy fuzz with sharp trebles.

The extremely simple circuit offers a lot of space for customization, hence our own interpretation of the mythical pedal with the Feed Me.
The Feed Me mk3 is ultra versatile and customizable. You can get the classic sound of the 60’s model, rich in trebles and sustain.
But also a thick and fat fuzz, for more modern sounds close to stoner tones. Or a garage rock style gated fuzz by using the Crack and Smash controls for a velcro texture.
While remaining ultra expressive and responsive as always to the guitar’s volume and tone controls, with the Feed control, for warm cleans.

Custom boost to push yourself through the mix

This is a boost where we find at the same time a transparent and clean boost and a really typed and settable crunch.

In addition to that you have possibility to stay in the middle mode or to select the frequencies you want to add, so bass or trebles.

An internal setting allows to set the nature of the overdrive while at the same time, this is matching the whole chain between guitar and amplifier.
