Der Wampler Mofetta Overdrive/Distortion ist meine Hommage an die MOSFET-gesteuerte Magie eines Klassikers der 1990er Jahre - des MT10 MOSTORTIONtm. Der Mofetta, eine Hauptstütze unzähliger Top-Session-Spieler, ehrt die Seele dieses schwer fassbaren und doch klassischen Schaltkreises, während er sein ungenutztes Potenzial offenbart.

Stell dir den Mofetta als einen aufgeladenen MOSTORTIONtm vor, wiedergeboren und verstärkt. Ich habe dafür gesorgt, dass er den klassischen, verstärkerähnlichen Overdrive, massiven Headroom und den vielseitigen 3-Band-EQ bietet, der das Original so berühmt gemacht hat. Aber ich wollte noch mehr und habe einen Texture-Schalter hinzugefügt, der echte MOSFETs in die Overdrive-Sektion des Pedals einfügt und so einen fetteren, artikulierteren Ton erzeugt. Das Mofetta bewahrt alles, was du an der Legende aus den frühen 90ern liebst, mit einer kraftvollen neuen Dimension.

The Wampler Mofetta Overdrive/Distortion is my tribute to the MOSFET-driven magic of a 1990s classic — the MT10 MOSTORTIONtm. A mainstay of countless top session players, the Mofetta honors the soul of that elusive yet classic circuit while revealing its untapped potential.

Think of the Mofetta as a supercharged MOSTORTIONtm, reborn and amplified. I made sure that it delivered the classic, amp-like overdrive, massive headroom, and versatile 3-band EQ that made the original so famous. But I also wanted more and added a Texture Switch that introduces actual MOSFETs into the pedal's overdrive section for a bolder, more articulate tone. The Mofetta preserves everything you love about the early '90s legend with a powerful new dimension.

So, wampler did what wampler always do, Brian locked himself away and when he emerged sometime later to show us what he had, it was clear he had created a monster... A pedal so aggressive, so tonally destructive we seriously considered whether it was right for us to release it.

Here it is, the Leviathan Fuzz. A true monster. With complete control over the tone: volume, gain, bass and treble and a switch that changes from a roar to a rumble feel. The switch takes you between GE and SI diodes, allowing you to more precisely shape the nature of the sound between a more compressed but gainier sound, or an open, throaty tone. Let your imagination guide you... Switch it a few times to get the hang of its sound, and from then on you'll know when you want to rumble, and when you want a roar!
