Der Volta Custom Jailbreaker ist ein Boutique-Overdrive-Pedal aus italienischer Fertigung, das den Klang und das dynamische Ansprechverhalten eines Marshall JTM45 „Bluesbreaker“-Combo-Verstärkers emuliert. Im Gegensatz zu herkömmlichen Bluesbreaker-Pedalklonen zielt diese Schaltung darauf ab, die Interaktion einer echten Röhrenendstufe und die Kompression eines Röhrengleichrichters nachzubilden. Das Pedal verfügt über zwei Kanäle, wobei der „Hot“-Kanal zusätzliche Sättigung und Lautstärke für Soli bereitstellt. Mit den „Tight“- und „Mojo“-Schaltern lässt sich die Bassansprache straffen bzw. die charakteristische Sättigung der Endstufe aktivieren. Es ist als „Amp-in-a-Box“-Lösung konzipiert, die sowohl vor cleanen Verstärkern als auch in direktem Setup mit Cab-Simulatoren funktioniert.

The BURN control in fact allows you to go from an aggressive definition worthy of a hi-gain tube, to a full, vocal, fat fuzz, up to being grainy and compressed like vintage circuits on the verge of explosion.

It is capable of astounding transparency and touch sensitivity: even if it can reach very high saturation levels (from crystal clear "cleans" to pushed "hard rock" territory), it respects your instrument original tone, and it gives back all its peculiarities. Moreover, adjusting picking strength or hand touch, you will obtain many shades of saturation depth, and all the upper harmonics you desire: just play with your instrument volume knob and with your touch and you will enjoy the palette of tone variations this pedal can create.
