Der T Drive ist eine klangliche Nachbildung des legendären Trainwreck™ Express Verstärkers. Trainwrecks™ sind in der Tradition britischer Verstärker aus den 60er und 70er Jahren verwurzelt und berühmt für ihre schnelle Tonabnehmeransprache und ihre außergewöhnliche Dynamik, die von chimärenartigen „Vox“-Reinigungen bis hin zu einem hochfliegenden „Plexi“-Overdrive reicht. Um die harmonische Komplexität der Trainwreck™-Verstärker in einer Stompbox so genau wie möglich nachzubilden, haben wir uns auf die Suche nach einem „echten“ Trainwreck™ Express gemacht, um ihn auf seine Klangtreue hin zu vergleichen, und wir haben langjährige Trainwreck™-Besitzer um Rat gefragt, die uns Aufnahmen und Feedback zu ihren Trainwrecks™ im Vergleich zu unserem T Drive-Prototyp zur Verfügung stellten. Unser Bestreben, das akkurateste „Wreck-in-a-box“ zu schaffen, hat zum T Drive geführt, einem Pedal mit der Dynamik, der harmonischen Komplexität und den „stimmhaften“ Obertönen, die an den Verstärker erinnern, von dem es inspiriert wurde.

The T Drive is a sonic recreation of the legendary Trainwreck™ Express amplifier. Rooted in the tradition of British amps from the 60's & 70's Trainwrecks™ are famous for their fast pick response and their exceptional dynamics from chimey "Vox" style cleans, to a soaring "Plexi" overdrive. To most accurately recreate the harmonic complexity of the Trainwreck™ amps in a stompbox, we took painstaking measures find a "real deal" Trainwreck™ Express to compare for sonic accuracy & consulted longtime Trainwreck™ owners for guidance, providing us with recordings & feedback A/B-ing their Trainwrecks™ against our T Drive prototype. Our quest to create the the most accurate "Wreck-in-a-box" has result in the T Drive, a pedal with the dynamics, harmoic complexity, and "voice-like" overtones reminiscent of the amp it was inspired by.
