The OCD was the first pedal to use Mosfets as clipping devices. Another first was their configuration as "hard clippers connected to v-ref" instead of to ground, as was the norm. These things contribute greatly as to why the OCD has such touch-sensitivity...why they react so well when the strings are hit hard or soft, and why they sound & feel different than all other pedals out there, 90% of which are just slight tweaks of the Tube Screamer.

Classic overdrive paired with a powerful EQ section. Even with the gain dimed, the Rook maintains astonishing note articulation and chord clarity, (think a highly tweakable Tube Scre@mer). If that’s not enough, the Rook is one of the most stack friendly drives on the market. Whether stacked with various overdrives, fuzzes, or muffs, it can make all of your other pedals sound even better!

The magic is the 2 band Baxandall EQ circuit, which offers up a different approach to tone control. Both Bass and Treble can be independently cut or boosted, allowing for an almost limitless tonal palette. With them both down, you get a mid range hump. Turning both controls up yields a nice mid scoop.

Adding to the countless shades of drive is the 3 way toggle. Toggle UP for “classic overdrive” tones, filled with rich “harmonicy” goodness. Toggle DOWN is LED clipping, for a raw and edgy, almost distortion type drive. Lastly, the MIDDLE position removes the clipping diodes for a louder, cleaner, less compressed sound. This position also causes the EQ controls to be more pronounced, allowing the Rook to be used as an excellent tone shaping boost. It’s best to start with the gain down to get a feel for this position, then crank it up for total amp melt-down!

The miniFUZZ V2 combines the tones and options of both the miniFUZZ Si and the miniFUZZ Ge, giving you the option to switch between the distinctive  tones of silicon or germanium. The miniFUZZ has a plethora of controls  which allow you to dial in authentic vintage silicon or germanium  tones and much more! The side Dip-Switch gives fast and easy access to the amazing new tonal options.  We have added a switchable  buffer to the miniFuzz. If you chose to engage the buffer you will be able to drive long cables and complex pedal setups with no loss of tone or change of tone when engaging  the miniFUZZ. We have added a four setting tone control for tweaking the texture of the fuzz. Leave it off for bright gritty tones or select one of the options for a smoother, silkier tone.  We still have controls for boosting the output or lifting the bass response. Most fuzz pedals can sound poor when using an external DC power-supply but the  miniFUZZ’s built in battery simulator makes sure all DC plug in power sounds as good and as quiet as a battery.

The Duellist features top mounted jacks, 9-18v DC, you can run it at 12 or 18v for more headroom. You can change the channel order A into B or B into A with a simple flick of the switch. Side mounted dip switch allows easy access to powerful tonal options. The new options include an amp-like setting, this gives you an open, tube-amp style tone. The SRV Mod adds attack and dynamics to the classic TS style tones, you’ll probably want to leave this option on once you’ve heard it.. With the Duellist you can also split channel A and B so you can use it with a pedalboard switcher. In ‘Split’ mode, using TRS cables the Duellist functions as two separate pedals with an in and out for each side, this allows you to place the two sides of the Duellist in “different places” on your pedalboard, e.g. you can put other pedals in-between the two sides.

Das UAFX Ruby ’63 ist das dritte Amp-Modeling-Pedal aus dem Hause Universal Audio und widmet sich der präzisen Nachbildung eines Vox AC30 aus der JMI-Ära der 1960er-Jahre. Drei Kanäle stehen zur Verfügung und natürlich auch eine Nachbildung des typischen Vibrato/Tremolo-Effekts. Dazu gibt es diverse Boost-Funktionen und auf der Lautsprecherseite stehen sechs verschiedene Cabs zur Auswahl.

I know that Universal Audio did a good job of capturing the spirit of an AC30 in the UAFX Ruby ’63 amp emulation, because excitement is the first thing I felt. The Ruby ’63 is lively, explosive, reactive, clear, and, yeah, even pretty chimey. And I was very impressed at how it imparted those qualities to decidedly non-Vox-y black-panel Fender amps, and vintage Fender cabinet emulations in UA’s OX Amp emulator. You know how a lot of pedals claiming to be an amp-in-a-box tend to be vaguely similar in terms of EQ and gain structure, but miss the details? The Ruby ’63 is not that. It’s an exhaustively executed emulation that takes you several miles further down the road to true amp-ness. And it sounds and feels awfully close to the real thing.

The Woodrow ’55 feels more like an amp than a drive pedal, which is how most lesser, analog amp-in-a-box pedals feel at the end of the day. It’s not inexpensive. This is a high-quality pedal with a lot of research and development behind it. But if you thirst for the sonic sensations, thrills, and expressiveness of a tweed Deluxe and are reticent to pay the price in dollars or space, the Woodrow’s ability to span the expanse between a pedal solution that comes up short and the real deal makes the price look, in practical terms, like a real bargain.

The improved RockBoard® MODs V2 are simple all-in-one patchbays for RockBoard pedalboards with a new, refreshed design, and compact housing. Utilizing the MOD slot on all new RockBoards® (except the DUO series), they provide various cable connections to fit a wide variety of needs as a convenient patchbay. With the RockBoard® MODs, you can permanently connect your pedals underneath your board and organize all connections to and from your effects setup in one convenient module. The RockBoard® MODs provide a central access point from your instrument to your amp, as well as your power supply via IEC, and a 2.1 x 5.5 barrel thru power connector. The RockBoard® MOD 2 V2 is a pass-thru box especially designed for MIDI-controlled amplifiers and devices, USB connections to a computer, or a sound card. Andy Timmons mysteriöser 'Halo' Effekt ist ein modulierter Dual-Echo-Sound, der vom Klangzauberer selbst lange Zeit geheim gehalten wurde, und er verbrachte Jahrzehnte damit, die Sounds zu kombinieren und zu entwickeln, die jetzt ganz einfach mit dem Keeley Halo Effektpedal erzeugt werden können. Gespielte Noten aus dem Halo 'tanzen rhythmisch' und erzeugen fast eine Reverb-ähnliche Diffusion. Diese Noten werden mit Tape-ähnlichen Effekten wie Modulation, Sättigung und Kompression zusammengehalten. Das Pedal bietet neben Andy Timmons Signature Delay Tone die Möglichkeit eigene Sounds zu kreieren und als Preset zu speichern. Der einfache, übergangslose Wechsel zwischen Side A und Side B mit frei regelbaren Settings vereint dabei praktisch zwei separate Delay Effekte in einem Pedal. Zusätzlich zu Andys charakteristischem 'Halo'-Sound bietet das Pedal vier weitere Rhythm-Modes: Viertelnoten, punktierte Achtel, Bucket Brigade (BBD) und ein klassisches Multi-Head Tape Echo. Atemberaubende Stereo-Effekte und eine makellose Klangqualität werden durch Regler für Saturation, Tone und Shelving-Filter weiter verbessert, um das Keeley Halo zum 'ultimativen' Delay Effektpedal zu machen.

Andy Timmons' mysterious sounding 'Halo' effect is a modulated dual echo sound that has long been kept a secret by the tone wizard himself and he spent decades combining and crafting the sounds you can get from the Keeley Halo effects pedal. Notes from the Halo dance rhythmically, almost creating a reverb diffusion. Those notes are held together with tape-style effects like modulation, saturation, and compression. The pedal comes loaded with Andy Timmons' signature delay tone and you can program your own sounds and save them as presets. Easily bounce between Side A and B on the fly, essentially giving you two delay pedals in one. In addition to Andy's signature 'Halo' sound, there are numerous other rhythmic delays including: quarter note, dotted 8th, stereo rack mount analog delay, and a vintage multi-head tape echo. Stunning stereo and pristine sound quality are further enhanced with controls for saturation, tone, and shelving filters that give you the ultimate delay pedal.
