The Reuss Musical Instruments Goo Goo Fuzz SF-01 is a fuzz pedal that recreates the legendary late-sixties Shin-Ei and Univox FY6 Superfuzz circuit. It delivers an aggressive, wall-of-sound fuzz tone characterized by a pronounced octave-up accent and subtle ring-modulation artifacts. The circuit is constructed using authentic vintage-specification parts, including rare new old stock transistors and germanium diodes matching the original schematic. It features mechanical true bypass switching, advanced power supply noise filtering, and top-tier jacks housed in a durable metal enclosure with a custom powder coat finish.

Killer sounding hybrid fuzz based on the tonebender mark III circuit

The Reuss FZ-02 Electricity Fuzz is a hybrid fuzz built with a mix of two vintage silicon transistors and a single vintage new old stock OC140 germanium transistor. The transistors are all NPNs, making the Electricity Fuzz a normal 'negative ground' pedal which runs flawlessly on a moderen pedal board 'daisy-chain' power supply

Rich and complex sounding overdrive/distortion pedal with heavy low-end

The Reuss Germanium Dirt offers a new and different take on the classic distortion pedal. Gritty, grainy, fuzzy and blissfully noisy
This is a sister model to the succesful Reuss 'Old Black Shoe' pedal , based on the same old LM308 'metal can' IC, but replacing the hybrid clipping arrangement with a pure germanium construction, using four vintage 1969 US made germanium diodes.

Germanium Dirt

The story is, the black box was built by Warren Ellis’ brother Murray from old radio parts, in an attempt to make an Octavia pedal, but coming out as something weird and evil sounding: The Muzz effect.

The Muzz effect itself is based on a 1970s Octavia circuit, with some departures from the vintage design, adding an extra mean and evil character to the already excentric sounds and behaviors of the old classic. The Muzzbomb can be used in much of the same applications as an Octavia. Basically it’s an octave-up fuzz effect with some ring modulation going on too..

The Muzz likes to have a fuzz or an overdrive in front of it as well as after. It’s a tool for experimentation, and the only rule is “no rules”. Warren Ellis generally uses a boutique overdrive before the Muzz, which gives a fatter sound. Putting a dirt pedal after the Muzzbox will usually emphasize the octave-up effect.
